The new addition to the Brothers in Arms Series: Hell's Highway

WARNING: This topic is based on an rated M game

I picked up a copy of this game today at Wal-Mart ( 1 of 2 copies there ), and in my opinion, is very worth it.

- Taken from the back of the Game case -
There is only one way out of Hell... And that's through it.

Story: ( summarized )
The game is based on the failed Operation Market Garden which was the largest Airbornre invasion in history. You play as Sgt. Baker, a soldier in the 101st Airborne division and you lead your two team squad through various places in the game. Watching so many of his men die, Baker is starting to lose control. The game was meant to appeal to the emotional side of WWII, soldiers and family members died in thousands durning this war.. This game shows true.

Features:
-Extremely simple squad controls/commands
-A cover system
-An option to turn off Mature content ~A feature that should have been made a LONG time ago.
-An (extreme)gore system
-When you get a really good kill with an Weapon/Grenade/Bazooka the Camera zooms in on the soldier in slow motion and wathes him get ripped apart.
-A danger system ( red = danger )
-Destructable cover ( Picket fences are a useless cover )
- First Person to Third person ( cover to standing )
-Realistic enviroments ( Unreal Engine )

Videos: ( contains some mature content ) ( Gore, language, etc. )

Ooh, that's a new one :)
Thing is, I hear a lot of bad things about the BIA games, but I don't know the scope of their accuracy. ike this one for example,

Still not sure, but it DOES look fun.
That is all.

Do we really need this Level of -Realism-?
I dont know why but i dont like that kind of brutal Shooter, where you see bodyparts and Legs flying arround.Same like SoF3.
I only play Shooters but i like less Gore and lesser Bodyparts like in MoH-A. :-)

btw:Dont forget you arent allowed to play M with 14 Years

I agree. Looking at the trailers, the game looks like it was designed for bloodthirsty sociopaths. There's just no reason for it.

I agree; the producers say that they wanted to appeal more to the emotions of the players and try to tell a story, but at the same time they go on and on aobut their gore system and how fun it is to watch people get ripped apart. It's completely unnecessary.

The best is,that Ubisoft cutted Bodyparts and ActionCam (which shows everything in Slow Mo) out of the German Version although there is lesser Gore inside.
In many Games they cut out these Things but not ever with Sense.
They thought about the content that may be unsuitable for minors but the German Versions are also Rated M (with a Red USK Symbol) So these Games only can bought by people over 18 Years and are cutted.
Thats the reason i buy some Games that i like to see with Blood in Austria.
If i get sometimes HH,then in a less violent version.

i think they introduced gore to get attention because im pretty sure its the only "fresh" idea they have in this game

i dont mind tactic shooters, i really like such games like Operation Flashpoint, ArmA, Raven Shield, SWAT4 and Ghost Recon(the first one, GRAW is boring and of course simulators, but BIA was a linear shooter with poor gameplay and some simple tactics (raminds me on Republic Commando)
and i dont think that something has changed (heck even the location is stll the same, dont they understand that conquering normandy was already made in countless numbers of WW2 shooters, and that WW2 scenario is getting boring)

solution: dont buy this game (unless you like previous BIA games)

On behalf of my older brother that posted this topic..

This is NOT in Normandy. This is Operation Market Garden, which took place across France and ( darn, was it Poland, or Hungry? ) all the way to Germany.. ( I did a project on this before so yeah )

I can't believe I left GT on when he went on the internet, but I let him post the topic.. :P
