I was very impressed with the first mission, and this one looks twice as good.

Are you going to do anything with Galactic Civil War?

We talked about it. We decided in a future version there will be.
As Designated Days heads well into the GCW era.

When the main landings start, Commander Phalanx and the 514th "Pathfinders Regiment will be there scaling the cliff walls of a point known as Point High Hym.
But I suppose you guys deserve to see what these Elite Advance Forces of the 514th look like?

This is coming along very nicely! Commander Phalanx looks great and I can't wait to play as him.
@Admins: If I my post was against the rules I apologize, and I'll try to refrain from posting so many gifs in the future.

If I may make one criticism, it's the large open spaces, seen in the second screen shot as well as in the other map you've released. It seemed I was running across very open spaces a bit too much. This is a small complaint, and I really like how this map is coming along, but I'd like to see a tighter map design.
Keep up the good work guys!

Well, this one is a farm area. There's not going to be a lot of tight spaces. How many farms have you seen with tight spaces? I guess he could include a long storage building like this:
http://www.aceconstructionflorence.com/ ... torage.jpg And pack them together to include some 'alleys'.
Unless you meant our map concepts in general - which you won't have to worry because we're going to have tighter map designs.

Tight fighting, don't worry, as we progress, there will be different fighting quarters.
If ya played Medal of honor: Frontline. The arnhem stage. Where the fighting is close quarters!
Were pushing the limits lol.
But yea, all the action really happens in Episode 2: The Invasion of Zormanis
This is the early concept we had planned 2 years ago lol.
Here's the concept os the main invasion we planned in episode 2.

That screenshot looks okay, but the same texture repeating on all of the buildings looks a bit bad.

No offense, everything else looks great

Yea, there in rough texture for now. A new design and color will be added soon. Along with the building add-ons.
If ya go on SWBFC and check the DD topic. You will see all buildings, most props are almost in the same texture. This is temp till the important things are done.
Another thing were trying to do is, becareful about the credit list. We mainly try to keep it our own work. We only borrow when we dont have the skill yet to create it our selfs or would never figure it out. Like the underhand chaingun animation, double weapon animation, floating icon tut. Credits will go to the proper owners of the assets we borrow.
But other then that, yes the textures will soon be updated. That is like our last things to do.

The ones dropping behind enemy lines and hitting the beaches are the lucky ones.

My legion gets to scale a cliff. (Battle of Pointe Du Hoc essentially, or from a Star Wars perspective - Battle of Teth).

This is D31. The assault on 120mm cannons. After the invasion, That very day, the 2nd airborne is task with taking out big guns firing on to the beaches. Like Band of brothers

.
Most of the fighting is done in the trenches while enemy MG's tear you up if you stay out of the tenches long.

Just you wait, so far you've only seen a small portion.
A vote for the name of the main invasion. I like Kamino Storm to be honest.
Operation Krayt
Operation Vibrosword
Operation Tempest
Operation Kamino Storm
Operation Raptor Talon
Operation Valkyrie
Operation Skyfire
Operation Valiance
Operation Adjudicator

Krayt! I really like those trenches. Hopefully the AI will be able to navigate them well!
