Thats a great model Lephenix! However, i think you need to scale up the hands abit. Right now they are a little bit small.

Neat minifig lephnix, have any plans with it or did you make it just for fun?

Here is my version of Skyhook, from TFU. Untextured, 2052 Polys. Tips? Hints on making it better? Jawas?

It looks Fantastic!
*waiting for a texture* :D
I see some snipers at the upper platforms.
And it fits with the AT-ST very well. I mean, the Size is right!

Looks great. You could maybe save some polygons on that cylinder on the top, but I'm guessing you have something planned there in the UV-process? Also, you may need to raise the entrance to that building if you're going to have AT-ST walking out of it; I think that the collision model of the vehicle will keep the AT-ST from leaving the building. I could be wrong, of course, but I advice you to test it out because if you need to raise the entrance after you've UV'd the structure, you will no doubt create some ugly stretching and more work for yourself.

Looks nice my friend , but there's too much unnecessary polies on the cylinders , but overall , it is good .

Might help if he sets up vehicle collision for the skyhook.

what mswf meant, was that due to the atst having a collision that is a bit "bigger" than the actual walker it might not be able to exit the building because right now the top is really close to the ceiling.
the model looks pretty good, except for all the unneeded polygons on the cylinders, especially the one on top.
the building seems rather small to me, for a skyhook..it was like that in tfu i guess, but isnt that thing meant to hold a huge spacestation in the orbit?

I knew what he meant. I was saying if you set up the vehicle collision on the skyhook to be a little smaller than the building, it might help. I am quite familier with the slightly larger collision of vehicles. The AAT on mos eisly is pissing me off for that reason.....

Eh? So the skyhook exit being smaller than it already is would help? :?

No, meaning the collision would be smaller than the skyhook, but still INSIDE the skyhook. The exit wouldn't be smaller, the collision would, meaning shrunken on all 3 axis. So it still fits inside.

Wow, thanks for all the comments guys. I will make the AT-ST entrance a little bit bigger, and try to cut down on some of the polys. Thanks for all the advice!
EDIT:
Made some of the small changes you guys commented on...how is this?

In delete, do you mean take those circles off the model? Because that is how Skyhook looks..
EDIT
Never mind, he told me on Xfire what he was talking about.

If they are adding to subsequent geometry or UVing then no you don't need to delete them.

Despite everyones call to make as little use of polies as possible sometimes they are required. You model is not high poly for it's size anyway.

Looks good btw.
