Excellent room! Are going to add turrets there, aren't you?
One question, is there a way in which you could replace or take the Capital Ship "mini map" up on the right? If there's going to be 4 or more cap. ships you could take it, or show every capital ship with it's parts when you press M (default I think), so you could know which cap ships are damaged or which are ok

I've thought about that a lot actually but I can't find out how to do so. But I have traced the ship icons to this method in the ObjectiveSpaceAssualt.lua:

self.shieldBitmapDEF, self.shieldBitmapATT,
self.criticalSystemBitmapATT, self.criticalSystemBitmapDEF)
it's a global method, probably defined in the engine.

I really don't get it a lot, I don't know how to make maps...yet... But couldn't you move that stuff in the folder (or whatever it is) of the map which shoes the objectives, the map (not the main one, I'm talking about the "M" map)

Off Topic: instead of cutting holes in objects, couldnt someone just create new objects that fit in the gaps, and that you can work with?....i mean obviously it would be a long daunting task thats not going to be done in time for this map, but still...food for thought...
On Topic: as for the mini-maps, u would also have to take into consideration command posts etc...i think the mini-map itself would need as much detail as you could possibly muster.

Minimaps are going to be a major deal actually. One the map where each ship is there would be really tiny halls .

Yeah, it's not all their fault. Lucasarts rushed them for the release and there was nothing that they could have done.

^ agreed. Don't bash pandemic because they did things different than what you wish they would've done. Making a whole in the model wouldnt be hard at all actually, but most people are lazy and won't do it..

i have one question. is the turbolaser room where you control all of the turrets etc.? or is it like the autoturret mainframe, where when you destroy it all of the turrets go offline?

You should put an unmoving death star 2 in the background, and if you fly too close to it you blow up. (hitting the shield)

dont ignore people (im not talking about xwingguy because hes working on that map + his obligations) if you do ignore people some will start A FLAME WAR (sorry for caps) and neither of us would like to sit on a burned thread only so it could maybe be LOCKED (sorry for caps again) ok now im gone for the moment see ya guys later.

Hey xwingguy look what i found
if you had no use for luke, or
if you were thinking of a particular spawning point that resembled the death star throne room, were vader, palps and luke spawned and fight each other but
you couldnt find the way to insert that, or
you just didnt think of it, or care, or whatever- well..
you could use a reskinned version of the stormtrooper luke so he looks like using his rebel commando armor as shown above, or
you could just ditch the idea

actually, that outfit has been posted before, but i still love it...
growing sooo tired of those standard rebel marines...
it would have been soo nice to have those skins in this map
one female and one male model would be nice
i believe xwingguy have decided to not use luke as hero, he wants lando+millenium falcon
but i put my money on Wedge, if no lando should pop out of the sky

Wedge Antillies is one of my fave characters. And we do need heroes for this, with so much interiors it's got to have them. Maybe Vader for the empire, just for fun?

you could make wedge heal his plane faster than a normal pilot and arm him with a DL44 blaster pistol the same one Han had. :biggs:
