I remembered seeing both X-wings and Y-wings right in the beginning of the TIE Fighter Factory level in TFU. And if they weren't, they looked a heck of alot like them.

Wow, look at all the awesome I've missed out on.

I haven't been on in a while, but to come on and see all this...great job Mav!! I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

The skins look very sharp and detailed. Love the new combos for the heroes along with the new melee system. Can't wait to try this out.

then mav, i sent you a pm (dont know how to send you something on other method) i just hope you can make those when you're finnished with this?
anyways, youre the best modder and mapper ever. i dont think even the makers of the game is that good.
i will rate it 10/10, like on every other of your mod and maps.
and, will you make a GC mod for this too? with that swithingfactions-like thing that makes you able to choose empire (with marek) or rebels (with marek.)
Don't apologize for a double-post, just don't do it. Edit your old post. -Staff

Nope, there's no really good place for "hero" flyers with stock space maps.
Hmmm... alright. Have you ever thought about making it being a easter egg or something?

And how, if I may ask, would you add an easter egg to a stock map without forcing it to be a seperate map? He'd hafta open it in ZE and add a new vehicle spawn, or go through a ton of coding to make it become unlockable, and then give whatever team Starkiller's on a disadvantage due to having one less ship in their hangar. And heck, I'm not even sure that it's possible to do that.
Am I right or no?

Yes, I guess you have a point there. But you could replace the Imperial transport for his ship and make that as the transport.

Cool down, it's not that hard to do and yes, I could do it. I don't want to and probably won't simply because I wouldn't want to spend the time modeling something that would essentially be unused.

Heck, I was just guessing based on bits and pieces or prior knowledge. (very little prior knowledge) and I think I seemed a little tough... Ah well. Sorry if it hurt ya in any way, Nova.
BTW, Mav, space looks awesome. Insanely awesome.
I had a feeling I was gonna seem angry...

A while ago someone asked how to make changing skins and I replied that one could make an effect (shield effect, for instance) with the unit's geometry instead of the sphere geometry. While I now realize that it's impossible that way, is this switch-the-geometry of the shield effect what you did for the TIE Vangaurd's shield?

Yes, essentially. I didn't just "switch" the droideka shield effect though; I made a new one, because making the effect do what it does, visually, wouldn't be possible with the specific effect type the droideka shield is.

If it isn't too much trouble, I'd recommend moddifying the ugly cocpit of the imperial shuttle to make it look more like the actual thing and way better, but either way, very nice work!

PS. If you need a pic, I can take one from my star wars guide to vehicles and vessels)

Y-Wings were there during the Clone Wars (recently made canon by the cartoon on Cartoon Network)

X-Wings weren't around, but their prototypes were (they're essetially the X-Wing with only one pair of wings. Looks EXACTLY like an X-Wing w/o the wings unfurled).

Oh. I had always assumed that the precursor to the X-wing was that multi-winged fighter the Republic has in default space maps. Not the V-wing, not Ani's starfighter, but the third one.

Yes, the ARC-170 was a precursor, as well as the Z-95 headhunter, but this is a little offtopic. I absolutely love what the space map looks like, especially the proton torpedoes, I'm glad you changed the color from blue, that always urked me.

I guess it was the Z-95 that I'm thinking of...and that's already in there. Oh well, I guess it's really up to Mav' if he wants to keep the good ol' X-Wing in there or not.

That was my thought at first too, but unfortunately the Sentinel-class shuttle from the actual movies looks like this:
