Does work ZE on win2000 without having swbf2 installed?!

To install it you need SWBF2 installed. so no. Maybe you could get past that with a registry edit, but don't try. It's not worth it.

Actually I don't think you have to have BF2 installed to install the modtools. I think I did the same thing you were asking about and 2000, you should probably just try to do it and see if it works

Right, except he didn't ask if he could install the modtools, he asked if he could run ZE.

I've got the mod tools installed without battlefront, but when I start ZE a window pops up :
ZE has a problem, after that ZE get closed..

On my XP everything works fine..

I read that in the 3D-Analyze thread

NOTE: This method should not work for any runtime errors. Go ahead and try, but don't be surprised if it doesn't work. Search the site for tips on getting ZeroEditor to work should you get this error, but be warned that we have yet to find a solution to it.

And my problem is a runtime error I think..

Not yet  , downloading now...

EDIT: I followed the instruction in the 3D-ANALYZE thread.
Zero Editor opening screen starts, but ZE does not open :?

Lol.

Well, it looks like a no go. I really can't think of much else. Besides, BF2 doesn't even work on that old of an OS, does it?
