Hope this is the right area, but in the "Savegames" if I rename the "jdg50legomaster.profile" to "Jdg50Legomaster.profile" Will the name change in game?

In other words, can I rename the savegame file to change my ingame name?

Do you mean rename your world/description? Go to C:\BF2_ModTools\data_***, you should see a file called "edilocalize". It is a batch file. Open it up to "planetname" (someting like that).

No, My single player name is "jdg50legomaster" and I wanted to change the j to a capital J.

I don't know, but a good way to find out would be to try it. Make a backup if you're worried something might go wrong.

@modmaster13: How did you figure with that answer? It's completely way off from what the original question is clearly asking.

@Jdg50: Your profile name will change but only on the profile menu. It will remain the same everywhere else in game.

i tried it by myself a half year ago. it won't work. i also edit the file and changed my name everywhere but after that the game crashed.

it may can work if you overwrite your old name in the profile file.

it's right you only what to change a j to J right??

rename your profile file and open with editor. search for every part your name is displayed. change all j to J it may can work. when i tried it i added some new letters.

He means it may work for Jdg because he only wants to change a letter, not adding some like he did.
