Well done commander! Mean time I have moved on a head too chapter 2. Which is the reason Revan has taken over the Designated days.

Update: Still working on the Invasion map. There will be noticeable changes, hopefully, when the next version comes out. And I hope it'd be worthy of bumping it up and out of beta stage when I do release the next version.
Added a couple new things in ZE. Changed the lighting a bit. Hopefully will be able to add in my new ambient war sounds to make the battle a little more chaotic sounding. Might add a few more units to make the map a little more action packed, or I'll just add in XL/Uber mode.
Moved the turrets that were near the landing crafts in the previous version. Felt like they were waaaaaaay too close. So now they're slightly behind the row of turrets at the first shingle, but they have a height advantage now, but the Republic gets a little bit more of a chance to get up there to take them out. It's still a challenge, though, but the battle should be a little more even. Added a couple more turrets in a new trench that I placed just in front of the sand ramp thingy that leads up to the bunkers.
Added new bunker. Just for cosmetics. It's on fire as though a Republic shell/bomb got lucky and hit the ammo or w/e inside and caused it to explode, or a trooper managed to get up there and use a flamethrower, but I want a new fire effect that spans the entire....what's it called.... 'slit'? Yeah, you know. The front where MGs are suppose to stick out from. Right now it's fine on the effects that I placed there, but a new fire effect would be nice. I might also need to make a damaged texture for that specific bunker, but right now it's fine. The map, still not perfect and I don't know if it'll meet expectations, but....yeah. I decreased the sudden drop from under one of the landing crafts a bit as well. That way you can quickly get back out from under the water.
Still need to add weapon localization.
Also when/if Icemember allows it, I will share the name of the planet that I randomly came up with. The back story will be revealed as maps come out (and I fix the rear-end of them).
Any who, I hope my polishing of this map is worth it. Been working on every single tiny little thing hoping that this or that value would help that and this object placed there should help with this or that. Yup. Later guys. Will get a screen or two later.

If you can find a new texture for it (sharper and higher-rez) it would be perfect.

Yeah. I was trying to capture this look:
But the small flames weren't working all that well. So I asked Ice if he could make a new flame effect for me.

Looks much better now with that effect. I'll see if I can't get a sharper/higher-rez texture for it.

WOW i like where this is going thanks Raven for fixing the old map it was bugged a lil
I was just wondering if it was possible to change the battle chatter of the soldiers and if it is then to make it so they are like, well ya know yelling stuff a bit better war chatter than the makers of BF2. And maybe say stuff when they die instead of just agh!

Thanks guys for the support! Glad you guys are liking the changes!

I'll see what I can do about the battle chatter.
If I can't get that down, I'll at least keep with the warsound ambient sound I made for the game, which I still need to get in. I don't have that much left to go. I'm trying to make it a tad more balanced, but keep the challenging aspect of dying relatively quickly.
I'll see about adding in XL mode for the map or just going ahead and making the map have tons of AI (not too much though) on there by default. I'm also adjusting the AI pathing and just trying to adjust the lighting/atmosphere to get the feel of a chaotic battlefield reminiscent of the D-day landings.
Still debating to put in a bit more cover against the repeating blaster turrets so you can at least protect yourself some from a long distant headshot where you don't know just where the heck it came from. I want to have the Rep at a disadvantage, but at the same time allow them the chance to turn the tables against the militia/CIS forces. If I get any progress there done, I'll let you guys know.

Was hoping to have this map out as a Christmas present (and as my first map release ever, technically a 'half-release' since I worked on the butt end of the map), but it's not quite ready yet.
Edit- Time for some bad news. My gaming computer (the one with BF2 and the edited files for the map) has died (well, a certain part). We're trying to fix it. I think it was just a tiny fluke and I'm confident we can get it back up.
The good news? I got a laptop for Christmas! w00t! So, if I can't recover those files, at least I remember what I vaguely did. I just have to look at the change log here and apply it over there, and it doesn't take too much to do what I did before to get back to where it's at now, if worse should come to worse. Trust me, I got this under control.

same to you Revan, have a great christmas (a bit too late to say that now i suppose XD), i hope that the laptop is exactly how it should be in all its little metal parts and gizmos.
