The gun in back looks very accurate. Nice :shock:

VF501 that indeed is very nice, now you just need to do the 9pose animations to make the wheels steer and make the treads move and make it so the gun in the back moves properly when someone is operating it :D or not up to you.

Good job!

Edit: oh and don't forget to adjust the spingbodies in the odf, very important so that the vehicle reacts properly with the terrain, did it on my buggy and it makes a world of difference. If you need any advice on any of the above feel free to PM me.

Agreed -- it looks to be all windshield. Other than that it looks great. Maybe a bit more suspension modeling for the underbody to flesh it out, but I'm real impressed. :thumbs:

Wow, thanks for all the compliments. I do find Taviyx's Modern weapons quite impressive, and I'm currently waiting to see the final product of FragMe!'s Space Trooper project. I still remember the old Test Vid you put of it. Also, YJJ, is that Texturing Offer Still open?

I still can't texture at all :P, my GIMP skills are lacking and I don't have the patientce, but I can layout OK UVs.

Oh, yeah once I have it ingame, expect a Vid. It's really sweet and simple how I have the Gatling Gun's Ammo Belt setup to move with the gun. I've also fixed all the proportions to fit the toopers better and make it more accurate. Its hard finding any good references online.

I'm currently getting it set up for the game, and have a preliminary odf written up. Sort of a cross between the Hailfire Droid and the Rebel combat speeder at this point. I also have 3 different 9poses being made for the Driver, Gunner and Passenger.

The only thing perplexing me is how the Turret is animated. I can't find any animation files for a vehicle mounted turret, so I'm wondering if its primarily how the model is setup and how the
FLYERSECTION = "TURRET1"
part of the odf is done. I've looked over several .mshs of vehicles that have turrets, and they have a very simple hierarchy.

Turrets have no animation, all movement is dynamic and relies on how you set up the hierarchy in XSI and how you defined it in the ODF.

Cool, so its handled the same way as a vehicle's movement. Time for more researching .odf and .msh setups then and some experimentation to get it right. Thanks Ace.

I haven't really worked on this for a while now but, I present to you the fixed up, almost completely textured Ford Anglia '66 (Or whatever else it looks like). I'd like to thank VF501 alot for fixing up the car and now it looks alot better than it did before, so thanks :)

Looks like its starting to take shape :) Obviously, you need to add more polygons and make the body look more streamlined but it looks good. Also, refer to the underside of a car when you're doing that part because it doesn't look like that.

Pretty nice! I like low-poly models more than really high ones (YJJ kinda forced me too :lol:). It looks pretty nice but some more detail in the texture on the front would be nice.

Pretty good, but I think you should do some more work on the wheels.

Yeah, there aren't too many cars out there with wheels that small. But I like it!
