Did you install the 1.1 patch from LucasArts? Here's a link just in case: http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... 09%20CLICK.

That's the international version. I'm assuming since your desktop was not in English, you will not be using the domestic one. But anyway, that should be the fix. If not, I don't know what's wrong...

I installed it, but not much modded content is fixed, the only thing that changed are the ksins, models, and i can read the maps names.
EDIT:
You guys, forget it, the conversion pack fixed it, how is supposed that BF2 is working with more than 500 missions  ???

I have an issue with BF2 and Windows 7 and wanted to see if anyone had experienced this outside of Windows 7 as well.
I have installed a full retail copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. A friend of mine does a lot of business with Microsoft and got several legit copies of the image that Microsoft sent to press.
BF2 was working fine for a few weeks on my machine after I had installed Windows 7. I recently changed out my video card (to a BFG GTS 250) and upgraded my processor (to a core 2 duo E7300), but both of those things didn't seem to have an effect on the game.
Then suddenly one day I was playing and the sound started to stutter. This happens in all sound, the SFX and the background music, but it ONLY happens IN GAME. The selection, options, and startup screens are fine.
For example, I'll be playing and suddenly I'll hear. "We've lost a command post. Fightfightfightfightfightfight for it."

Things I've tried:
Went back to my old processor (and subsiquently the old bios that supported it).
Switched sound cards.
Reinstalled BF2.
Updated Nvidia drivers.
Turned off PhysX.

None of those things had any effect on the game. So I'm wondering..Windows 7 or not, have any of you had this issue before?

I'm thinking it has something to do with the NVIDIA drivers (like maybe windows update updated something one day in the background) since it only happens to the sound, and only when the video card has to do any 3D rendering. But, since Win 7 isn't "out" yet. maybe Nvidia hasn't 'fixed' it.

Yes, I have seen this, but it was on a Vista laptop. It comes and goes, but I haven't seen it be a huge issue as long as I keep the resources the game needs low. I suppose that could be your problem too?

I actually still have the voiceovers issue, but this time i can only hear the voiceover once ingame, for example, in the conversion pack, when you play Naboo: prototype, you start to lose reenforcements in the first second playing, so i hear it, and i never hear it again.

I used to have that problem all the time (stopped playing so I don't have it any more...). I just turned down my volume and got used to it. It normally happened to me around explosions. If it's just VOs for you, you can turn down the VO volume without effecting game play.

Yeah, I do have things cranked up to MAX. You'd think a GTS 250 would be able to handle everything, especially since my 9800GT was fine. That's why I'm thinking it's windows 7 drivers. Although, it worked fine for a while. <sigh>
I tested out turning everything down to low, and although it seemed to reduce the frequency of it, it didn't eliminate it. Also, I found out the game is pretty bad with things turned down that low.
I didn't upgrade my machine for me to play on low settings! :D

Thanks for the tip though, Maveritchell.

It does happen on all audio. Sometimes it's the VO, sometimes background music, sometimes SFX.

To Zerted and Labj...are you on Vista?
Also, to those who have experienced this..does it happen in other games you play? I haven't installed any other games to see if I have the same issue there.
