Here is a mod that just tests out new units.
Alliance: Realistic Rebel Soldier
Imperial Officer
Jawa
Tusken Raider
Genosin
Hero: Tusken Chiefton (Rends can you give me his gaffti stick?)
Imperial: 501 Legion Trooper (Turning into a Stormtrooper)
Luke Skywalker
Mace Windu
Count Dooko (No cape, when I put it on him the game crashes.)
Darth Vader
Hero: Anikin Skywalker (Lukes face and body with Darth Vader's cape a blue lightsaber and force choke.)
All of these characters have been made more realistic all comments and pictures are wlcome. And help with the stuff I post here! If I forgot to add you in the credits (I'm sure I got everyone) tell me.

A small glitch: Dooko looks like a snowtrooper far away, It will be fixed in the update.

Out of curiosity, what changes were made on the rebel soldier?

More realistic, it has a vanguard body with a rebel face, first weapon is a pistol and secondary a blaster. I just made him more realistic.

Could you try uploading it somewhere else, like here at Gametoast?

It has to be under 1mb to be uploadable here. Saves bandwidth, I suppose.

I have a solution to the Hoth problem:

On Filefront there is a mod called Einfausts Realism mod. In that one there is a Hoth map included that you should put in the AddOn folder. Works with most Side mods.

If you change the shipped sides, the Hoth map crashes because it requires an ODF for the probot, even though it isn't used in the game, and the IMP side in the assets with the mod tools don't have it. There's a probot in psych0fred's Chain Isle map. If you copy that ODF into the IMP/ODF folder for your mod it should work on Hoth (and if you copy it into the IMP/ODF folder in Assets, then every time you import the retail IMP side it should have everything it needs to work on Hoth). But of course if you do this, you must make sure you get Fred's permission before you distribute your mod.

It might be possible to just make your own ODF for the probot as it doesn't necessarily have to do anything. I'm still not sure exactly what the ODF needs in order to stop the crash. I tried just making a blank file with the right name and extension but that didn't fix it. It might need the explosion ODF as well, which is also included with the Chain Isle data.

There's a thread about this on Fred's site, but it's a bit cryptic.

Here we go:

The alliance trooper:

Count Douku

Darth Vador

Geonosian
Image

Imperial officer (for some reason he has an Alliance blaster)

The imperial trooper

Jawa

Luke

Mace Windu

The Tusken Raider

Hope these worked for you Leviathan.

The only three strange thins i noticed was:
Mace has two lightsabers, one slaches and the other one has no animation
The Jawa jumps a little high for his size
And the fact that the imp officer has a Rebel blaster

Yes, hopefully, your screen-shots are displayed properly...
However, we cannot really say that the Imperial Officer owns a Rebel Blaster, since this weapon has been produced by BlasTech, which is a "neutral" firm... :?

Yeah, but he doesn't have the standard imp blaster, but he has the blaster that all of the rebels and some other people (such as Han) has. So that's like a US Marine who has a Desert Eagle even though the standard sidearm is the Beretta.

It's not that disturbing... Moreover, in Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy, Imperial Officers use DL-44 Blasters... (SWBF's "rebel" ones...)

Just looked into the probot thing a bit more, and you don't need to use fred's ODF as you can make your own quite easily. You just need a valid ODF (it can't be just a blank file with the .odf extension) called imp_droid_probe.odf, but it doesn't have to be a functional unit, it can just be a simple prop. If you do it like that, you don't need an explosion either, just the probot itself. Copy it into your imperial side and you can play Hoth without it crashing.
