So the laser on the room where Darth Maul and Obi-wan fought in is functional? It will sheild(?) the room off time to time?

Yup! Whether it kills you or not if you run into it though is still in the air.

Is there any reason not to make it lethal? These shields were designed to keep potential plasma outbursts within the corridor, so they must have had an enormous energy output.

Would it be possible to have one N-1 as a turret? Hovering in the air, shooting everything in the hangar (just like in Ep.1) Or else, would it be possible for you to have an animation of an N-1 launching?

@ Protector: The only trepedation I have with making the doors lethal is the pathing. If I'm able to make the bots recognize that its not a good idea to walk into them, then most certainly I will. I also was planning to do some scripting with the N1' s for takeoff when the Hangar CP is controlled by the NSF, but that too is also hinging on my scripting abilities. As for turrets... you'll see. =^)

Wow folks, it's been a while since I updated. The main reason is that I'm having a relly tough time getting everything to fall into place so it looks movie-like. Pretty much a bunch of guess n check work, but ah well. I hope to post some updated screenies soon, so stay tuned!

Looks sweet!
The only thing id mess with is the N-1s cotpit texure, looks a bit flat
BTW: are you planning to meet the May 4th dead line for the map competition?

@ Syth: I'm aiming to try and make the deadline. Granted, it won't be my 100% final FINAL version, but it is possible that I might join. We'll see.

@ Penguin: As of now, I don't have any portals and sectors in play. So yeah, My compy is dying of lag in the Hangar area. It runs pretty smooth in the genroom, though.

Somewhere near the exits of the hanger to keep ships from flying out. Or you can watch the movie to get into more detail.
