Independent Source: Bespin

Well, I've had WAY too many problems with it. I'm tired of having this big file just sitting on my computer because I'm to lazy to release it, so I did it. I personally am to tired of modding Battlefront. Way too many errors and stuff. I don't plan on continuing the mappack, but if someone else wants to, I'd be happy to give you the files and my ideas for the other maps.

And yeah. I'm done modding BF2.
And maybe playing it unless =LH= comes back.

Note: The file is in .7z format. What I use to open .7z is IZArc. CLICK

Indepenent Source: Mission 1: Bespin - In the Clouds
Version: FINAL
by Fingerfood

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

The Battle of Hoth was a crushing blow to the Rebel Alliance, taking many of their resources. Pilot Han Solo has friends on the planet of Bespin that may be able to aid the Rebellion as they nurse their wounds. The Fleet travels to Bespin, not knowing the trouble they're in...

Modes:

Conquest
Hunt

Installation:

Download the IS_#1_Bespin.zip
Extract it to your C: (or whatever your drive name is) \Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon folder
If you don't have an addon folder make one.
Now go run SWBF2 and Enjoy!

Bugs and stuff to do:

A lot. I'm not proud of how many there are, but I don't have the time or patience to fix them.

Credits:
Fingerfood for mapping and putting together this darned stuff.
Rends - some props
Squipple - props
Caleb1117 - more props

A few things;

Unless I see some quality work, I don't want my mappack going out the window. Sorry to be so harsh, but that's the fact; I either want an experienced modder or a team of a few modders who have some experience.

Please, it's appreciated.

I'll still be here, posting, spamming, helping, etc. (I may still remember some of the stuff so I can help the newer modders) But I *think* this will be the end of modding BF2 for me. I've started modding Source and I think that's the frontier I will follow for now.

Ugh. it's starting to sound like I'm going away.
And I seem to be a little rude and impatient today... Hmm...

It is of course your perogative, but I think you should be so lucky as to have someone who wants to consider finishing a project for you. If you're holding out for a team of experienced modders I think that's pretty pie-in-the-sky.

Well, considering that I don't really want someone continuing it but if I can get an experienced modder who really wants to then great. But again, I don't really need one. I'm not begging for someone.

But if no one else wants to, I may give it to you, Super_Clone.

I'll think about it. I have made 4 maps, 2 have been released. Asteroid, Iridonia, Gandon, and Dardon. (The last two were lost during save interruptions-->corrupted pth, wld, lyr files, etc. :faint: )
Anyway, I'm taking a leave of absence from modding until my wrath subsides from the loss of those two beautiful maps.

If you would like to see screens to verify that I am xp'd enough, i'll post em.

Eh, I played it and I think I'll stick with the regular Conversion Pack Bespin.

Ok, last chance. If you want to continue IS, speak up, otherwise I'm giving it to jedimoose or Super_Clone...

While I'm at it, I may highlight some of my ideas for what to come, just to urge you guys onward.

Oh, and you WILL have the right to change, manipulate, and add things to IS if you are the one working on it.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Second map:
Space Fondor
Based on the Rebel Strike mission "Fondor Shipyard Assault", you have to destroy the executor. This will be a space battle mostly with small portions of land and hangar.

So yeah. The first part of those videos where you have to take out the shield.

Third map:
Dubrillion
This takes place on Dubrillion, which is also coincidentally from Rebel Strike. (No! Seriously! I thought I had maded up a planet but just now when I went to make sure it was made up I found it...) Anyway, the map features a large island surrounded by water as far as the eye can see. This island has trees and lush plants. It also has a large mountain range sprawling the whole island. Inside the mountains is a large droid factory that has been reactivated by [insert evil character here]. The factory has many moving parts and gadgets, and looks similar to the droid factory on Geonosis seen in Ep. 2.
