Hi I'm trying to make a normal animated object with trigger so i used FragMe's tutorial that explaines it pretty good. I only got two problems:
-in one step he it says that i have to klick on the dummyroot and export it like any model and put it in my msh folder. What way of exporting is meant here? with rep's meshtool or what....
-further in the tut it says i have to export the bones and stuff with pandemics msh exporter. I'm sure i had the stuff with the timeline n all correct as wéll as the options in the pop up but when i trý to export XSi crashed with the message : "...wasn't able to save scene before crash" or something like that ...
does anyone know how to fix this ? thx in advise

Free Autodesk Softimage 7.5 Mod Tool software sticky wrote:...

Pandemic's XSItoMSH export script does NOT work with ANY version of Mod Tool or full versions 6.x or 7.x

Only these versions of XSI work properly with the Pandemic Tools and you'll need one of these if you want to get new player models or animations into SWBF:You can download and install the trial versions of XSI Foundation(4.2 ,5.0, 5.1 and 5.11) available in our file hosting area of Gametoast, the Pandemic Tools are fully functional in these trial versions for the duration of the trial.
- Foundation 4.x - 5.x
Essentials 4.x - 5.x
Advanced 4.x - 5.x
You can get them here:
XSI Foundation 4.2 30 day trial
XSI Foundation 5.0 30 day trial
XSI Foundation 5.1 30 day trial
XSI Foundation 5.11 30 day trial
...
...

okay so it's absolutely essential to have a XSI Foundations (or comparable) version to be able to export animated models or objects so they're usable in BF2 ?

yes, you need a full/trial 4.x-5.x version, as stated above
