Got new computer, have vista, now have problem [Solved]

My Dad's computer died, and I'm currently using my Mom's laptop. Since I don't have a computer of my own, my mod tools and game data files were all stored in an external hardrive on my dad's computer. None of the data was damaged. We're getting a new computer, and it's going to have Vista. Luckily, ALL my data was moved to the External Hardrive before the computer died, but I need to know: Is any of it compatible with Vista? Since it was installed to an XP computer, I have a feeling it wont be compatible.

Is there anything I should look out for with Vista? Especially with the game itself? Because all I've heard is negative comments about it.

All your "data" is equally compatible. You might find some hitches working Battlefront or ZeroEditor (or even VisualMunge), but none of that will be affected by what is currently on your HD - it would happen whether or not you brought in your older files. Regardless, all of the above-listed can work in Vista, and if you have problems there are many here who can try to help.

Okay, there is now a problem. I can't figure out how to stop the computer from denying access to my editing. I finally figure out how to actually edit my scripts in one map, however when the visual munge starts up, access to all the changes is denied to the visual munge. I cannot do a thing!

EDIT: They really need the "Run as administrator" option bigger, because that's all I needed to do. Just "run as admin"! :jango:
