STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II
Raxus Prime v. 1.0 by -|IC|-Delinquent_GER

Chapter I

The Galactic Republic is at War.
The greedy Confederacy of Independent Systems is threatening the Republic with its huge army
of mechanic Battledroids.
In an attempt to weaken the Separatists the Republican Clone Army has launched an attack
on the CIS arms manufacturing facilitys on Raxus Prime.

The outcome of this battle will decide the fate of the galaxy...

Chapter II

It is a period of Civil War.
Although the Rebels have destroyed the Empire´s ultimate weapon, the Death Star, the
ever growing Imperial Fleet still rules the galaxy with an iron fist.
The Rebel Alliance, desperately struggling to survive, has decided to attack.
Bothan Spys have pinpointed the location of an important Imperial Arms factory
in an old industrial complex on Raxus Prime.
While hiding on Hoth, a victory on Raxus Prime would give the Alliance a valuable advantage
against the evil Galactic Empire...

Installation:
Put folder DQ3 into LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II/Game Data/addon

Description:
Full scale battle in an industrial environment. Battlefield medium-huge.

Game modes: Conquest only. CW and GCW

The map name "Raxus Prime" is arbitrary.
Found it while browsing on the starwars databank and it seemed to be a planet which fit the most
to the environment i wanted to make.
So it is my very own interpretation of an industrial complex on some planet and does not necessarily represent
Raxus Prime as seen in the animated series or somewhere else.

Bugs and issues:
- Havent noticed any bugs apart from the generally known ones.
If you notice any, pls report to me in the respective forums.

Things to be adressed in updated versions:
- Minimap; couldn´t make any, unfortunately
- AI improvements, fixes.
- Glitch fixes
- perhaps other game modes

Thanks to Saturn_V for the explosive barrels and GT Lego Pack.

Special Thanks to -|IC|-The_Dude whose computer I used to create this map.

Have fun!

Del

THIS WORK IS NOT MADE, DISTRIBUTED, OR SUPPORTED BY LUCASARTS, A DIVISION OF LUCASFILM ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LTD. ELEMENTS TM & (C) LUCASARTS, A DIVISION OF LUCASFILM ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LTD. <<

Additional Notes:
I really apologize for the missing minimap.
I know this map inside out now, but if you get lost please don´t blame me, but blame zeroeditor for not letting me make a hi-res map.
I hope to add a minimap with an updated version.

Also, I hope Saturn_V doesn´t mind that I have replaced the barrels explosion with a recon droid explosion.

Last but not least.
You may find some hovering boxes and barrels. If you do so, always keep in mind that this is starwars :D
No seriously, after weeks of hard mod mapping work I decided that I have to release this map some time, and I might have left some things unfixed.
Bad object placements will be fixed with the update.

Cheers Del

Delinquent, if you need a minimap, let me know and I'll make you one (just like the shipped ones). Just get me some top-down ortho's from ZeroEditor.

works for me...

the atmosphere is incredible, looks like you did a lot of reskinning. it does fit fairly well with the impression of raxus prime i got from clone wars (the video game). i have some issues with the basic gameplay, but that may be personal preference. and you definitely need a minimap, its way too hard to figure out how to get from one place to another, or even where in the world you are. the overall appearance, level design, map layout, etc are all quite amazing tho. great job!

btw, one of the cp's is underground, i know you said object placement wasn't quite perfected yet, but i thought i'd point that out.

Took about 4 minutes to download and seems to work fine. Of course playing the actual map nearly blew up my computer ;). I mean - wow. Speechless. It is nothing if not a work of art. It is also huge and confusing beyond belief- takes a couple of rounds to figure out how to actually get between places

Didn't find any bugs apart from the ones mentioned. As for other game modes this definitely calls for XL if nothing else. Incredible job

EDIT:I also like that the map is huge enough to fly all round it its really nice! But manuvering is tough,oh btw the ATTE surprised me!dont tell me in GCW theres an ATAT!? There are tons of surprises in this map! great job!I also think for the nxt version it would be cool to have some flooded spaces besides the the water that I just tried to fit my ATTE in but failed lol.And do you think it would look cool if it was raining?

GREAT map.

However, it does run rather slow.

I LOVE it, Runs normal speed for me.

Its SOOO huge but that just enhances the fun in my mind. I like running all over the place with no clue where i am going.

This is a beautiful map but I was curious, doesn't this map editor offer any zoning like the unreal engine does? Like placing zone portals would really optimize this and only render what can be seen and not what cannot be seen. I work in level design and most of the newer engines have something like this, but I haven't looked into the tools for zeroeditor too much yet.

Sectioning off areas with zone portals though would optimize it and really make this level great for all. It runs really well on my pc, just some of the people on my server had framerate issues/slow downs.

Anyway, nice job. Thanks for releasing this. It's done very well.

BF2 does support portals. That's a good idea.

I think the map is a little too big, too little troops. If you can add more troops or make the map smaller, it would be better. Also, the water needs a little work. Besides that, it's great!

You know, this map needs some Jedi heroes. With all of the industrial platforming lying around, it's just begging for a super-speedy, high-jumping Jedi to fly around in at breakneck speed.
Also, isn't there a guy who makess truly awesome mini-maps for modders? Because believe me, a minimap would come in handy for something of this complexity.
