It's Simple!

1.Open C:\program files\lucasarts\star wars battlefront\gamedata*
2.Right Click on 'Battlefront.exe' and then click rename. Type in a name of your choice. 'Battlefront1.2' is my suggestion.
3.Download and install patch 1.3
4.Right click the renamed battlefront.exe and create a shortcut to place on your desktop.
5.To start version 1.3, start swbf normally. To play v1.2, use the new shortcut.

*If installed SWBF in a different place, you probably know what to do . . .

Most people play on 1.3 so if u do Diet Dr. Pepper ace say you can have the 1.3 features and play with more people...

Depends on the content and quality of posts... in this case I'd say yes definately spam.

Holding off on 1.3 Beta, tried it once and can live without it until:

1. 1.3 full comes out or
2. SWBF2 comes out

Yes, but this allows you to install both. Use 1.2 for multiplayer, and 1.3 for free camera. 1.3 is perfect(it appears to be) in single player.

oh... my... gosh... THANK YOU ACE THANK YOU!!! I always wanted a quick way to switch, and now I have that way! combine this with the 2 addon folder Idea and WAA-LAAA! 1.2 and 1.3 at your service!

One of my tweaks finally helped someone!!!! Yes! Moderators, would you consider making this a stickie?

On top of that, I use the following configuration:

SWBattlefront.exe (my cracked 1.2)
SWBattlefront1.2.exe (For legal purposes)
SWBattlefront1.3.exe (for the free camera)

I removed it from the thread 'cause I'm not sure if its againts forum rules or not and it just generally messed up the thread, didn't really fit in.

FYI Teacum, I've severe doubts that SWBattlefront1.2.exe will help you legally, and is just wasting space. What you want is your cds and a receipt.

I agree with you on that issue. BTW, anyone figured out how to run it a the same time? ( i know, wondering why. this method will be great for testing things like mp mods and such when you don't have anyone to join your server.)

The 1.3 rocks, but i doubt thet the full will ever come out, with the release of SW:BFII on monday. But the Jedis don't deflect you shots, which is kinda bad and good, since you get rid of the fact that they are blocking rockets, but the can't block the othere shots, which just looks stupid!

uh . . .that's like that in 1.2 also. . .

I have a mac. How do I install 1.3?

It's a bummer, but 1.3 beta was never released for mac, because it was never an official patch.
