I did play in a round where a squad made it up past B furthest back escalators and capped A allowing us to win. I joined back up later. We lost A but secured B.

I think jets should get flares to start off with, since almost all of the time in jets for me has been:
1) Be lucky enough to spawn in the jet
2) Prep for takeoff
3) Hear lock-on sound
4) Die

Other than that, fantastic game.. going to have to balance this and Skyrim.

This happens to me all the time. I don't have a single kill with jets. And they're still too hard to control.

What do you guys think about the weapon damage? I think they should increase it. I once needed 11 hits (!!!) to kill an AFK guy right in front of me...

According to EA's Facebook page, Battlefield 3 will be 30% off if you buy it on Origin on Black Friday. Take this news as you will.

On another note. I'm still finding it loads of fun and hope to squad up soon with GT.

I bought this the other day (£10.03, if you believe it, first hand... although it was double discount day where I work, and I got a £20 gift card from my employers as a Christmas thank-you) and I have to say, I'm blown away. ATM I'm going to complete the SP campaign first, then move onto co-op, then save getting XBox Live Gold last so I can get online with it.

You should wait... it's still full of bugs and since the latest patch it's crashing more than before...

@Guru: Nice deals.

I've ran into like zero bugs. I get the EA Online disconnect maybe like once every 5 games when I switch servers. So it's hit or miss with the bugs.

Found out that if you have an ATI AMD Radeon HD 5000 or 6000 series card, there's a "preview driver" you need, so you actually have to go the AMD website instead of checking your control panel for an update.

EDIT: nevermind... even with the driver update, my gun and player models disappear randomly for seconds at a time. Do you know how hard it is to hit an enemy that isn't there... but is still shooting at you?

Guess I spent $30 to wait for a patch.
