Hi-

I downloaded this map a while ago, but, every time I try to open it, it crashes to the desktop.

I'm running a top-of-the-line system with the Convo Pack installed. I don't know if that would affect it.

However, I'd really like to know if this is an error experienced by anyone?

I also took out all my addons except the convo pack ones. SO, I have plenty of space.

Thanks for helping, if anyone can!

Try lowering your graphical settings when you load the map. Mod maps occasionally have problems loading at higher graphical settings (although it seems that one they're loaded you can adjust them higher).

I had no problems with it whatsoever :D except I can't kill the 10 fiends in 3 min

Still great map!

The 10 fiends in three minutes is easily the hardest sidequest (because the other ones are just finding things, and I know where to find them all, lol). Something to note - as the story progresses, more fiends will appear. By the time you start seeing the "Xiphos" fiend the max amount of fiends will be on the map. That's probably the best time to do the sidequest (I would also recommend maybe using Tidus's or Kimahri's overdrive on two or three fiends at a time to make it easier).

wow...

the rocks have to be impossible.

I waited for 10 minutes and the gaps never closed between the 2nd-to-last rock and the 3rd-to-last rock for me to jump without sliding off the edge and HAHA YOU DIE NAU...

I used the Fake Console and did Reinforcements unlimited :D .It was fairly easy for me to get across, you have to jump from rock to rock as soon as you can :) .You can't wait on a rock, the rocks get in range as soon as you get to another rock  .

That'll happen once every 4-5 minutes, where they all line up perfectly. You can do it in between then, you just have to be patient and "ride" the rocks for a while before they'll line up. (Make sure you use Tidus for this, it's much easier with him.)

Wondering how many people have beaten it - if you've beaten it (and also know a little about FFX), anyone recognize the boss?

ok I went straight through and I got through them all.

I would like to know how you coded sid's weaponry

And what the heck is the song? I tried twinkle twinkle litter star but I keep hitting 2 boxes with one swing.

EDIT: oh fudge... I just got it...

crap... *looks up the song on the internet for notes*

Make sure you're not pressing the secondary attack button when the summon dies, and that won't happen. That's the only documented 100% crash, and is due to the fact that remote units (unlike remote droids, which are vehicles) are somewhat unstable.

And just a hint on the fighting monsters - the number of fiends increases as you progress through the game. If you level up early when there are only a few monsters it's a little easier to play later on. Additionally, the sidequests offer decent chunks of experience, and one of them offers an "Auto-Heal" bonus, which heals you fully when your health gets down low.

Thanks for the compliments!

EDIT: Lol, apparently Spira is actually a planet in some vein of SW lore:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Spira
It's even got a climate very similar to Besaid.

what is the song? I've tried twinkle twinkle a hundred times. does it use all the boxes, because when I do it I don't. Oh, by the way, when I've been fighting fiends on the map occasionally I either fall through the map or get suck in the ground and die. Is this just a collision thing?

The thing you mention is just an odd collision bug. The song isn't "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and no it doesn't use all the boxes. I'll PM you a hint.

The pillars are thunder, fire, ice and water. Explore the whole map, and don't stick to the average path. You'll find it eventually.

Mav, any luck on finding what might be causing my error that I told you about?

I finally beat the map. I didn't recognize who was the boss, but then again I've never played Final Fantasy. This was probably one of the best maps I've ever played Mav.

Sorry for the bump, but I reinstalled Battlefront II today and downloaded this map. Awesome job Mav, I have to say I'm impressed.

One problem though - after the jumping rocks part (I love platforming, so it wasn't too difficult :P) there are three or four enemies which are basically impossible to kill because they're all grouped together. What am I supposed to do? Run past 'em? They keep knocking me over every time I try.

Edit: Ah that's it, it's not that they knock me over, it's because of that annoying barrier. :P I guess I'll just have to waste ten lives taking them out. :P

Edit2: Ah ha! Two more discoveries! The CP heals you and the long distance blitzball is awesome. Yay for level three!
