well i have an idea that would kinda simulate the chunks of droids and jedi bodies.. but im not sure if its possible.

k well you know that when you kill a jedi there body will fall to the ground and eventually dissappear.. would there be a way to increase the time or get rid of it entirely of when the body will dissappear?

Can you make it when the Jedi die, they dont fall on their knees. I hate it when they do that.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can fix that. I didn't really like that either, but I'm not sure if there's a way to make it so they just die regularly...

EDIT: Nevermind, Tean just told me how to make it so they'll die in different poses.

I know there's a way to get more than one locals and on different sides...would it be possible to add in republic gunships?

No. No Clones. This map has been a balancing nightmare as it is. Adding clones would unbalance it even more.

Also, for some reason, I'm getting these serious munge errors when I try to munge either Jango Fett or the Geonosian, so right now, the map is on hold, since Tean is taking a look at the problem. Hopefully he can fix it, because I'm not releasing this map otherwise. It just isn't the same without Geonosians, and Jango. So it probably won't be released till the weekend, if not later.

If you have too much animations running all at the same time it'll screw up the map.

It's not that. If that were the case, I would get an error like, "To many animations [max 18]" or something like that. I have gotten it before. Usually if that were the case the map would crash when loading. But this is a different problem. The map loads fine, and everything is fine, until a Geonosian spawns. He shows up completely fine in the spawn screen, but the instant he spawns, bam, crashes. "Geo_inf_geonosian missing animation geo_rifle" or something like that, is the error. Now, I've just found out, it's doing the same thing with Jango. I've tried just about anything you could think of. I've even made a completely new map and added the stock Geonosian and Jango from the assets, and tried to spawn as either of them. Does not work at all.

btw could u make the droids leave chunks when they blow up without dissapearing??It would make things look like a real battle with all those dead jedi bodies , droids' part and bodies everywhere in the arena.
OffTopic: Personally I thought in that scene, George concentrated too hard on focusing on those droids, especially with the shock of the SBD's performance, in which they were severely nerfed up (died to easy, weren't physcially heavier than I hoped, and had only one blaster arm) just for audience pleasure and humor.

That in my opinion, was a major blow with that scene as well as little effort with only 7 droidekas appearing in that field and no DSDs. I hope George revises this concept and at place least 50 droidekas (maybe too much in an arena but there were 200 Jedi and obviously less than 50 SBDs...more like 30 to 40 I think)

I truly believe that any Jedi Knight and possibly a Padawan can defeat more than 1 Droideka.

On Topic: Because this is a video game, I think it would be nice if you could have a vareity of Acklays attack their enemies. WHat I mean by this is rather than seeing just one Acklay with the same skin, why not include Acklays in different colors?? I have some in my skin pack...use if necessary.

I know you can do this because Teancum was able to add a variety of Gungans in his BF1 Naboo map.

This map takes place after the acklay is killed, so no. Unfortunately, I can't get a dead acklay model to put on the field so you can see it lying there dead, but eh.

I never said anything about that but hey you could always make an alternative version, an aftermath after the Jedi escape Arena, Boba leaving the place and when the droids abandon the Arena. This is only an idea. The rest of monsters, being Acklay, escape their cage cells and roam free in the Arena and maybe some random CLones or Droids run back to the Arena for whatever reason and to survive they have to kill the Acklays and possibly each other. Your map suits this concept fine. :)

But I think for now, you're already in tight schedule with programming the Geonosians right so I'll let you be. 8)

This 7z exe thingy is great! It reduces the file size a lot and there'll be no "I dont have 7z" complaints :D Perhaps this should be used with every map? :D

Anyway, I'mma play this map now, sounds nice.

Off topic:Droideka, you are really obsessed with droidekas, aren't you? Also, there weren't many. You don't see a lot in the movies.

Now, for on topic:This sounds like a great map. I hope to DL it soon.

Off TOpic for the last time:

WHen will everyone realize that the movies aren't always meant to be taken as the #1 source?

There were more droidekas but because animarion them is a complex, I don't think George had enough time (blame his deadline and his lack to cover the entire story completely) to really add more droidekas since most would be have to move around differently, activate their shield at different times, and so forh.

EPisode 1 (possible 2) is the beginning of the least improvements for the true droidekas instead of hyped up opponents the Jedi shouldn't really be struggling with at all...

On Topic: For reference, are there any Magnaguards at all? ANd if you use EPisode 2 ANakin, can you give a green lightsaber since he used it from somebody else's?

..how many times have i heard you say that george lucas never had enough time or money to properly add droidekas into the movies..

that doesnt make any sense! if he WANTED more droidekas he would have ADDED more droidekas! he definetly had the money to hire a whole team to animate a whole ARMY of droidekas! more likely the real reason you dont see them that often is because the Trade Federation did not want to spend tons of credits making lots of them.. because, logically, those personal shield generators cant be that cheap!

On Topic: great map! i think the unit ammounts are perfect!
just a thought.. in Ep II you saw alot more regular battle droids than super battle droids.. would it at all be possible to remove the magna guard class (seeing as there would not have been any at that time) and replace it with an improved super battle droid, (ie more health, more wrist rockets, abit stronger lasers, that kinda thing) then replace the regular soldier class with the regular battle droids?

Already way ahead of you; I added the Jedi Heroes a few days ago before I started having problems. Luckily I was able to take a screen:

And yeah, as you can see, I was careful enough to make sure I gave Anakin the green saber; I'm really picky like that.

There are no magna guards... there's only three classes for the CIS; SBD, regular BD, droideka... and a Geonosian if I can get the stupid thing to work.

And lastly, here's some screens from a couple days ago for those of you who want them:

Here's an unusual idea, although if implemented it would be really difficult to balance.

Basically, in the movie the Jedi were outnumbered and the CIS would have won if the clones hadn't arrived and saved the day. So this map could have an extra "movie realistic" mode where the Jedi's goal is to survive for a certain amount of time, and the CIS goal is to eliminate the Jedi befor the timer runs out. To counter, the CIS could be given a large number of Geonosian locals with infinite reinforcements, who would share vision with the CIS and thus give a CIS player vision over the entire battlefield. Also (if necessary) the CIS could be given infinite reinforcements.

I'm considering having a hunt mode with acklays and Jedi. What do you guys think?
