I have a problem with my localization tool in which it crashes whenever I save. However, all the new data I entered survives and is there when I boot it up again.
However, when I localize the names for customs sides, they don't show up in game. The same thing happens on another computer where MultiLanguage Tool doesn't crash. I am checking the localize box in Visual Munge every time, but the sides just stay with random jumbles of characters for names.
It occured to me that, as I have the UK version (at least, I think it's the UK version, I got from Amazon.co.uk) I might need to enter the names in the UK English field too. So I tried it, munged (I'm localizing both weapons and characters) and nothing. I go back to the MultiLanguage Tool and the UK English strings are gone. I try again, save, it crashes, I close it with Task Manager and boot it up again. The main string remain and keep their US English try.localizations, but the UK English localizations are gone! The same thing happens every time I try.
I've searched the site nearly an hour now and found nothing. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Localization does not Work
I think you're just being impatient. Editlocalize takes more than a few seconds to save. Try waiting for a while after clicking "Save" and see if anything happens.
If that doesn't work, you can copy the file that holds the English localizations, delete the UK English one, and rename the copied English one with the UK English one's name. I don't remember where the files are off the top of my head, but you should be able to find them if you poke around your data_ABC folder.

Re: Localization does not Work
They're in data_ABC/Common/Localize. Also, when you munge I think you need both common and localize checked. Don't quote me on that, but I was having some troubles with localization not too long ago, and munging common seemed to resolve the issue.

I've tried leaving it before, and nothing happens. It goes white if you open another window above it, and windows start seizing up in a similar manner until I close it.I think you're just being impatient. Common was already checked.I think you need both common and localize checked.
The overwrite seems to have worked. Munging now...
EDIT: I munged it, and the new troop names work! However, all the weapon names (custom and stock) and the map name are now random jumbles of letters. Help!
EDIT 2: I've replaced the localization files with those from another map and fixed the universal jumbling. It seemed the original localization files broke when I replaced the uk_english.cfg and half of the root scopes vanished. Now remunging and seeing if it's fixed.
EDIT 3: It worked! Thanks for the help, all.
