I agree. +1 to that idea.

Focus on making a good map, not campaign. The sides and map already have a loooong way to go.

Lol, I see what you did there AgentSmith_#27...

IMO I'm almost done with the Union sides, but the map DOES need work.

and models... :runaway:

Is the gatling gun really neccessary? If so, It should be reserved specifically for the Confereacy, since the Union didn't use it.

I just wrote:The Confederates get pretty much the same deal, but the don't have calvary. Instead they have the Confederate Artillery Specialist. He is the ONLY unit with a Repair Tool and has a devastating Gatling Gun Deploy to REALLY secure an area. His custom-made pistol is the only weapon with a Zoom scope on the battlefield.

Calvary? I'm considering doing a mid evil castle assault map with custom player models, etc. And I thought it would be pretty sweet for your map too- Is it possible for a modeler of high caliber to create a Horsie model and possibly use some tauntaun animations/skeleton to make a not-horrible-looking Horsie? I don't know much at all about modeling really, and this has been in the modder part of my mind for some time now. Would be pretty epic to get/make such an asset, doubtful though.

Unless of course you really meant Jesus versus a machine gun, in which case you've got a weird mod but correct spelling.

The second picture is correct.
But they dismounted their horses.
From page 2:
Union Cavalry (Dismounted)

The correct spelling is cavalry. See the difference?

Ahem. Please ignore my above stupidity.

Also, I'm learning Blender at a fast pace, so I may be able to make those Gettysburg models everyone was fussing about on pages 1 and 2.

:funny2: An extremely weird mod.

Strangely enough now I'm tempted to come up with some sort of Biblical recreation in a future map (I know I know, it'd probably be too controversial for anyone that might be somehow offended by that kind of thing)

Just curious, but since I can't help you (I know little about modeling), and the modeler was unwilling/able to take the extra steps necessary to help you... Have you found someone that will export it for you, or a way to export to msh with blender, besides using a pipeline of Blender>XSI>MshEx?

P.S. As a last resort, I've been considering learning to model anyway and could see what I could do.

I'm using Blender-MSHViewer because XSI does not function on my computer.
Stupid thing.. :cpu:

And suddenly I am reminded of Madness Combat....

That was funny, though, Mav. I haven't laughed that hard for awhile.

And, Cress, if you need me to help research with Civil War stuff, lemme know....and I'll try.

I'm much more adept at Blender now, I''m starting work on the first Gettysburg building.
Also, my map has a slight terrain error that I need to fix...

this seems incredibly ambitious. I think if you are wanting the final product to match your vision, this will take a few more months to release. But wow. If you get this going properly, I will be impressed. Just remember. I may not know a lot about American history (I'm a crazy canuck), but I'm pretty sure droidekas were never present in those battles. Perhaps you could turn them into Gatling guns! (they roll right? and massive firepower right?)

good luck!

The only screenshots the author has posted contain default rep/cis sides, and droidekas are in at least one of those pictures.

(I'm having difficulty believing this map is 50% done, maybe some new screenies of the progress on the map?)
