This looks pretty good. I (generally) like KOTOR maps.

@ Skyhammer: I'm not sure if you realize, but Spira: Besaid is from Final Fantasy, not Kotor :wink:.

Alright, sorry 'bout the delay. Anyway, here are some more pics of what I changed:

New skyhammer model:

cliffs look sharper and more realistic:

New face for TSF soldier, the other one looked boring:

So that is it for now. I also added a buff defense powerup dispenser for the swordsmen classes, it looks pretty sweet. I also, still debating this, but may make the skyhammer a flyable republic vehicle possibly. Or it may be ai controled which may look better. Does anyone know how to make an ai controlled flyer by the way?

Looks really good especially the cliff. As for the faces I like the new one, but if you could have some variance that would be pretty cool too! As for the skyhammer, I definitly would not have it player controlled, and even AI controlled is a bit iffy.

1) That's a hammerhead isn't it? Not a skyhammer.
2) Map looks incredible.
3) Add PilotType = "self'' under each section (flyer/turret I think) you want AI controlled. By doing it to only some sections you can have a flyer with, for example, automatic turrets but flyable by troops.

PS. Woner's right though, player controlled will mean you can smash it into the ground. If you let it be AI controlled you should put it fairly high up to start with to try and prevent the AIs bashing it into the ground.

PPS. It's a bit hard but if you had it as an animated prop you could set the turrets up to be remote controlled from the ground (if it actually has turrets).

I do have one question though, which assets are the trees in the second picture from?

LOL, everyone is asking me this! I didn't get them from anywhere, they're in the endor assets, it's called
end_prop_foliage2.msh.

@Woner, yeah you are right, I should make them AI controlled if anything.

@Skyhammer - thanks for the code for that. Not sure if it will work or not, but I might as well try it.

Hey guys, sorry to ressurect this, but I thought I would show you some more changes I made recently to my map, which includes a unique new face for each unit on the Old Republic side, plus some tweaks here and there to make gameplay more enjoyable. :D

Soldier

I want to use that one for the loading screen posibly. Anyway, comment away! I might still make the hammerhead AI controlled, I will get back to you on that!

Work on putting the faces on in the right place. Take the old skin, and draw dots where the eyes and mouth and nose where, and match it up.

Lol, the guy in the last pic look like he got OWNED! I like it how you put on different faces for the different units. Very unique. Can't wait for the download...

Thanks, happy you like! Anyone have any suggestions of things they think I should add to the map? So far I have most of the appearance finalized, except for a few object issues. The units, however, could still be changed. Does anyone have an idea of what I could change for the primary weapon of the "Special" class? Because right now he just has a fairly dull blaster. Also, was there any special look to the republic/TSF soldiers in terms of uniforms for the ranks? Would the Commander have medals on his armour or something? I'm not exactly an expert on KOTOR.

i think, but im not sure, that the higher ranked KotOR republic soldiers had blue jumpsuits/armor instead of red.

Unless it's sposed to be canon, for the special unit's weapon, you could give him a small missile spammer. In other words, someting sorta like a bulldog, but has much weaker missiles that do about the same amount of damage as a pistol and fire at the rate of a rifle. Maybe infinite ammo?

That's a great idea, I should think about that. Anyway, Updates in words and pictures:
-I gave the swordsmen class for the Republic a cape that matches his uniform.
-Switched up the faces of the TSF officers units so each face is unique.
-Added more grass to the map and I will probably add some hutts or houses also.
Thank goodness the attatchment thing works again. The last pic I am considering for a loadscreen. :)
