.msh.option question

Didn't think i had to post it by XSI forum because i don't want XSI to be involved actually. Right! My question, can you use the .msh.option to scale a characters msh, so it becomes smaller. For example, want to have the Ki Adi on Yoda format but when i do that the bones overleap. And when i do Yoda on Ki Adi animations i'll get long stretch bones. So can i help this with the .msh.option?

Or perhaps, try messing around with these line, found in Yoda's ODF
SkeletonRootScale = "0.342974"
SkeletonRootScaleLowRes = "0.342974"
CollisionRootScale = "0.42"
