Re: Aldura Campaign (Update 8/10)
An article/semi-update I posted on the Mod DB page (no point in posting the same thing twice):
http://www.moddb.com/mods/aldura-campai ... gn-locales
Not necessarily a progress update, but it might give everyone a better idea of how the maps fit in the series.

An office building, eh? That sounds like a good use for DS objects. The other locales sound pretty well thought out, too. Nice work.

Re: Aldura Campaign (Update 8/23)
For those who are interested, an article I posted on ModDB regarding the playable characters in story mode: http://www.moddb.com/mods/aldura-campai ... characters
I meant to post that here first, but I completely forgot until after I already wrote the article for ModDB. No point in posting the same thing twice, so just read the article there and comment on it here if you so choose. I tailored the article mostly for people unfamiliar with the series who need to be drawn in, so it's more of a feature/highlight deal than what I post here, but it's still worth reading.
And with that shorter-than-expected post, I have to tell everyone that I'm leaving for college in three days and probably won't be able to work on this for at least a good four months. I should still be around GT plenty though to answer any questions and respond to feedback. Before I leave I'll try to make a post to bring everyone up-to-date on total progress and some of the new features I haven't mentioned before.

Nice progress. I'm glad to see the Beachhead map back in the series.

Eggman, you are the best.
I love your Aldura missions. I Wish I could make those maps, too.
But I've some questions. There are only three Aldura maps released, are there?
And in my version of AL3 there are no AATs or IFT-Xs at all. Are your screenshots from a newer version that is not released yet?

Re: Aldura Campaign (Update 8/10)
There are only three released so far (although the first Beachhead map from a while go isn't really part of the series anymore). Those screenshots from Landfall (AL3) are actually from an older version. I initially planned to have one tank on each side, but it didn't work too well with gameplay and planning.[Skirata]Darman[M] wrote:Eggman, you are the best.![]()

So, to clear up any confusion regarding what's been released and what will be released:
The original Beachhead map from a while back is no longer part of this series. There's going to be a Beachhead map, but it is very different.
The original Orbital Assault and Landfall maps will remain essentially same in their new releases. The maps themselves may change, but the story is pretty much the same.
Unlike what I did for the first few maps, everything will now be released together as a single mappack. So everything you see in the progress update post is what will be in the release.

Re: Aldura Campaign (Update 8/10)
LoL I always wanted to download all of them (
) but i only managed to download Aldura Orbital Strike(SOO COOL
) at start ive just got it because of the Reccusants but i saw the other parts of the campaing i tried to download them all but... ive failed
.But now ur making a campaing pack i only have recomendations since ur making an Assault mode for Orbital Strike u should make the controlship boardable (also if u can make its hangars larger) , put an Providence carrier/destroyer AKA The Invisible Hand , The Lucid Voice or also The Concolid Swarm , make the Vulture blue like in EpIII or at the series
put some venators(i think that the red death star hangar is a venator one
) put some clone turbo tanks
..............but thats just my opinion!!!!!!
PS: does the levels with dead clones, detroyed AT-TEs and gunships(rep. debris) have also sep. debirs?????
Please read the site rules, 3 smilies MAX per post -Staff

Re: Aldura Campaign (Update 8/10)
About time for a progress update, don't you think?
The first half of the series is basically done. I wound up cutting one map; while I hate all the work I put into it to be for nothing, it was proving to be a major headache and just wasn't up to my quality standards. It's portion of the story has been inserted into another map.
This brings the first half to three maps total - Orbital Assault, Landfall, and one new map. Since the story in these first three maps wraps up very neatly into its own little chapter, I'm thinking of putting the finishing touches on them, sending them out to a few people for testing, then releasing them. The second set of maps is coming along well, but I need more time to work on them, so they'll be released later.

Re: Aldura Campaign (Update 12/26)
The beta has been sent out to a group of testers, and the feedback so far is promising - there's just one missing sound, two missing localizations, and a handful of missing HUD icons to take care of. Part one should be released no later than two weeks from now. Until then, here's some eye candy:
Nothing new, but I haven't posted screenshots in ages, and I'm in a mood to show off my work.
