True, keep a weapon on auto for transport until you are ready to engage targets at farther than ten feet away is wise. However, as we both have said, performing the latter task on auto is close to impossible.Nihillo wrote:Auto is not useless, it's good for those times when you are actually close to the enemy or fighting indoors. I'd reccommend you use it just as you would use a shotgun.ecko_66 wrote:A few tips for you:

It's possible, just very difficult from my joystick-spoiled experienceNihillo wrote:I can do it easily with my mouse. But yeah, I agree with ecko, you should learn how to land the plane, that is an essential skill for pilots in this game. Helicopters are a good alternative if you want to go airborne, just remember that you must slow down a little before trying to use the "A" and "D" keys to turn around.ecko_66 wrote:-Don't fly aircraft until you have got the hang of it on a training server. They are more difficult than vanilla BF2 by a factor of ten, and require at minimum a joystick.
Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. Another thing: provide cover for your medic as soon as your revived, and if the medic asks you to move (not often, since you can't move very quickly) than you should follow their request because they are saving your life.Nihillo wrote:You can also bind the 9th weapon slot to a key closer to your left hand, such as "X" to make it easy and quick to grab a bandage. This can save your life.ecko_66 wrote:-Press 9 to get a field bandage, all units have one but it doesn't show up in the menu.
I do okay on a few south american servers, but yeah lag is somewhat worse with PR over vanilla because of the sheer size of the maps - were talking 2x2+ kilometers!Nihillo wrote: I would love to join you guys, but I can't, I would probably experience some serious lag if I joined an american server... and I probably have an accent, so it would be kinda difficult for me to communicate properly.
