The video author has an account over here, but I don't know if he's active anymore.

I just checked his account on youtube, the last time he signed in was over 9 months ago...

Rahm Kota? (Link)

Someone probably already posted that, I haven't read most of the topic and was just looking at screen captures.

It looks great, I think, even though I won't be getting it (No PSP or DS).

I've just remembered I have a PSP lol, but I don't have any games for it :|

This could be the one which actually puts it into good use.

Looking forward to it...if it's done right that is.

I'd like to see more than 8 AI per team, at the least 16. It wasn't to unbearable on RS, but if ES is going to have 2 fronts to fight on at once, I don't think 4 AI on each side per front is going to cut it...

I also noticed that the Clone's laser colors are back to blue, rather than the red used in RS. I hope the ARC-170 lasers, and other related Clone flyers have their colors back to normal as well.

I saw from a video (link below) that they are going to have 5 pre-defined weapon loadouts, however you can customize your character's loadout at save up to 3 custom loadouts. I can only hope that the AI choose from the pre-defined loadout listing. I don't much like having half my clone squad using flamethrowers and jetpacks...

At around 30 secs.

That video is interesting.

Ground-to-Space maps on the PSP..you can't tell me they can't do it on PC or console.

Also.."The biggest Battlefront ever".
And it's on the PSP.

C'mon BF3, srsly.

Actually, I'm hoping all this Star Wars / Lucasarts re-releasing circus is to get people all worked up over star wars and the lucas era and then BAM! HITTEM WIDDA BF3! :D
Or, maybe it's that BF3 was supposed to come out right about now, and they're trying to fill in the money gaps with re-releases. :vader2:

*EDIT*

Between the 2 versions of ES, I'd have to say that the PSP version will be the only one "fun" to play. It's not really n-Space's fault, it's just that the DS can't handle nearly as much as the PSP process-wise/graphically.

On the footage there, it looks like the guy was playing Elite Squadron on the PC. Or was I mistaken??

I have a list of similarities I have found between ES and the supposed BF3. But, as stated before, the relation between ES and BF3 is questionable at best, going by the fact that all we have to compare are ES's screens, gameplay vids, and basic info to BF3's 5:50 leaked footage and screens.

I don't know that this is in lieu of a SWBF3; LA most likely wouldn't have known much more than about a year and a half ago (and that's being generous) that they couldn't get out SWBF3 as planned. Like what was posted above, I think there's a good chance that this was going to be SWBF3 for the portables (or at least a side-along release), but in the wake of losing SWBF3 (or at least getting a huge setback) there probably wasn't a lot of reason to just sit on a finished product.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on that, there, DM. The similarites are probably for the reasons Tean and Mav listed earlier. I believe it was supposed to be the portable versions of BFIII, since the PSP and DS would probably never be able to handle all the content LucasArts planned for BFIII.

Hmmm.... I was thinking. What if these are just test runs for the new BF3?? I mean, they released Renegade Squadron a while ago with some new features like Customization and now they got Elite Squadron with improved gameplay (ground to space action). It looks like these two games are just field tests kinda like a spoiler to what BF3 will have when/if it ever comes out.

The "The biggest Battlefront ever" is how many people buy it. There would be more selling if they made it for pc also.

At the stage they have it, it cannot be made sell-able for PC in any reasonable time frame. It's useless discussing it.

they have Cato Nemoidia (planet where Plo Koon was killed) as a map you can fly around on.

it also appears from this Bespin map that you have the option to fight on land or in space.

Huh. I never really thought that ES is a "BF3 Portable" of sorts, believe it or not. Now that I think about it, I think it would be safe to assume that this is "BF3 Portable". Making a portable version that would've been released alongside console/PC versions makes more sense than just making another portable Battlefront.

Well, my earlier post is pretty much unnecessary now.
On the footage there, it looks like the guy was playing Elite Squadron on the PC. Or was I mistaken??
I think they were playing it on the DS, just with the video being outputted to a TV/PC Monitor.

I can find other gameplay vids/screens and post the links if anyone wants them.

The DS version isn't too shabby. Mind you, it's only 32-bit. I hope we get Galen Marek, and otehr TFU Stormtroopers too.
