Sorry, I meant,"are you going to make any RED-COAT tanks?". This map looks worth keeping just because of the SKINS! I can't imagine how good everything else will be!!

Browncoat. The Redcoats are British. :P I don't know yet. I need to do an Alliance low-altitude vehicle, and if I do that I'll need an IF tank. So, it could happen.

Update: Need help on this one. I need ideas on how to make this vehicle look less Star Wars -esque and more like Firefly.

The tail gunner will have a machine gun instead of the harpoon which would have been useless on this map anyway.

I would make the wings a little longer...I don't know why...and perhaps the gun barrels shouls be shorter and closer to each other.

I can't modify the actual model, I despise XSI with a passion and don't have the time to learn it. I was thinking skin wise, is there anythign I can do. Does anyone know if a glow effect can be achieved by skinning or odf editing? I think that's a long shot, but who knows.

Maybe the green should be removed. It would be uglier, but it would look more like a war machine and not...a pretty war machine with makeup.

If you want, I could see how far I can get with Firefly vehicles, if you give me some reference pictures.

Also, for the sandbags, I have made one sandbag wall, but it's over 1000 polygons, which is just absurd. I'm going to re-make it using a different technique.

t551t551, here are all the pics of Firefly ships I could find. There weren't many straight-on shots of them, but these could be used for inspiration. I added a view good pictures of whole ships to the end.

Fix the reed forest to look like it belongs there. :P

I know; I haven't gotten to that yet. :) Don't worry, I haven't forgotten. It's actually bamboo, not reeds. But I will add water to the ones on the ground, but I don't know what to do about the ones on the hill. I can't add water up there.

Reeds, bamboo whatever. :P

Bamboo I don't think would grow well on a hill they would populate themselves more on the marshier low grounds. Trees would do fine though. Course, I don't know what Serenity Valley is like. Don't forget to make the terrain muddy in the bamboo forest too!

Whoa, is that what I think it is? I haven't been here often, but if that's a Krylov FA-37 assault rifle I see, I love ya man! (in a friendly way ;)) I love that gun (in 2142) my pick over any other AR for all around use any day. Nice work man.

Also, looking at other Firefly pics, the primary (Alliance?) gun that I see is the M8 carbine, which I can get some good reference pics for from Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.

That would be awesome. :D And once again, credit to Moving_Target for the Krylov! ;)

Lol, nice. Although it isn't quite what I envisioned, it all very nice. Interesting strategy to consider when entering there. In that one shot, if you're hit, it's your head. I didn't think it would be quite so deep, and with like an 'island' or two (terrain going up just enough to breach the water) with less bamboo on it, or just on the perimeter, but it's a great improvement. Sorry I'm such a blasted perfectionist. If you left it the way it is now, it'd be great and the only one who'd even notice that it isn't, I don't know, pasted out of a real marsh is me. :P

Looks great and I'm actually really looking forward to playing this map, don't ever let any of my comments convince you otherwise!

There are paths through the marsh where the reeds aren't in the way, just not one in the screens. :) I still need to work with the ones on the hill. I need to fix the max flight height (so easy, just haven't opened that LUA in a while) and run through the map to look for bugs and then I'll start skinning the Alliance side. Stay tuned!

Also give Murdocr credit. He exported the models for me. Also I give you permission to edit the odf and skin to hte models if need be. And yes that is the Krylov FA-37. I'm going to take a look at that convertor phyc0fred posted about and see if i can export more models.
