Wow.
The whole time, no ones made a TIE Hunter model until now?
I figured someone would have made it since it's been in a good video game or two.
Good job.

Are you gonna make its wings (S-Foils?) closable while its flying or just when its in landed position?

Unfortunately it is an either or situation, can either have take off animation or try to do a 9pose for flight mode and quite frankly it probably wouldn't work so well anyway. Can't do both.

Only the best medium sized map in Halo history, Hang Em' High! The map that every Halo map since has been based off of.

Nice model! That maps is great fun as long as the people you play with aren't modded. :? Good luck on the planning though.

Yeah, i know. Planning is gonna be virtually impossible. :( It was meant mainly as a multiplayer map, although i will try and add planning and barriers.

I decided to take a stab at a KotOR-style blaster rifle:

My technique could obviously use some work, but I'm happy with the overall shape considering that this is my first complex model (by "complex" I mean, "more than a box"). The texture I slapped on it for now is from the Rebel sniper rifle in Pandemic's assets.

Looks pretty neat. The texture fits very well, nice work, Eggman!

Decided to start working on my TF Uboat again. Textured the hull armor. Wireframe is a few pages back (unchanged). Still undecided on what form the tower should take.

Opinions, suggestions?

Looks nice, but the top is a tad flat. Maybe add a little droid conning tower or periscope? Is there anything that looks like a thruster on the back, since that would be a nice detail?

So I think there'll be a tower on the final version.
IMO, you may as well go and make it old German U-boat style. That would fit the best, I think.

Very cool!

I couldn't say how to design the tower, as I would probably just extrude and tinker with shapes untill it fit or looked cool. But I found these concepts that might be inspire some ideas.

Nice refs, thanks.

For the final "tower" I decided to just be practical and add in a small gun turret...a large tower would be nice but its a small sub and it'd block the target view annoyingly. Also textured thruster pods. Texture is made from scratch, except for the cannons (tank droid gun textures) and thruster pods (various modified space textures).

The gun turret will be fixed forward for underwater maps, rotate for (possible) surface maps.

It need a new texture, and it needs the three parts in one skin too.
