Floating/sunken objects

This problem has probably occured somewhere before but I'm unable to find it in the forum search. I was really pleased last night as my first attempt to import an object into Zeroeditor worked fine, no collision mesh problems. I only imported blocks as an initial test but everything went ok, however the one thing that was wrong was that all the objects where flying. I had selected ground to terrain in zeroeditor and was placing objects. After noticing that they were flying I went back into zeroeditor to check what was going on, the height read 7.8 or something so I figured that this was the problem as CP1 and CP2 had a height of 0. I changed the height of the imported boxes to 0, this time they disappeared. Changing the height value to different figures eventually got them to the right height (I think) so is there a quick and easier way to do this? I assumed that setting the height asa 0 and locking it and having ground to terrain selected would suffice but with no luck. I'd really like to get this sorted before I try importing more complex objects that I don't know the specific height of. Any help would be great. Object was generated in XSI foundation and exported using the pandemic plugin (26 days left !! Aaarrrggghhh!!! :( )

You can move objects (and regions) along x,y and z axis when you select them and hold c.
Then a green, red and blue line appear.
Hold C press left mouse button and move your mouse to move the object along the red line, right button for the green line and third mouse button (scroll wheel) for the blue line.
You can also rotate objects when you hold x, and press the buttons.
Moving hint nodes works similar but you have to select moce before.
You can change the height of spawn path nodes when you hold shift.
