GT-1: Jai Nollan ready for beta testing

This is 0.91 version of Jai Nollan. Infantry only map.

Known issues:
- some view distance issue
- solders get stuck sometimes
- minor bugs

Still to come in 1.0
- missing solder types (imp and rep)
- new weapon
- a small model of something

New features:
- exploding barrels
- glass windows
- breakable boxes
- holo walls
- houses
- decorative stuff like chimneys, fireplace, bookself, lamp..

Remark: You can not fly in chairs and couches

This is just.... Amazing. But the jet trooper should be playable, without it itubalances the game since cis gets the droideka. Only the jet trooper is a mach for the deka.

The weapons aren't finalised, there is a heavier gun to add in (the T21) and we are thinking about replacing the jet trooper with a non-flying clone armed with the JT's gun.

WOW! I played and my jaw hit hell it went so low! This is by far the greatest map ever!

About the windows, they are like vehicles, so once you destroy them you can use the pilot to repair them like a vehicle!

OK, when you start as reb from mansion, on your right there is a fake door texture, just behinde turret. Go through it.
Boxes, you wish all of them are distroyable, or destroyable ones should have different texture?

very nice map guys . I love those exploding barrels!!! . 1st thing i did was blow 1 up ...and i blew myself up in the process lol

Rends beta Review ;-)
First i have to say great job guys. I like the infantry map style with lot of different ways to go. But i got lost on the map a lot of times and the current
minimap isn´t very helpull. I suggest to make a blueprint style map like RhenVar Zitadel.
The new objects and buildings looks great. Exploding barrels are nice but way to powerfull explosions if you ask me. I like the destroyable crates. Well they could need a
more realistic looking Damage model but anywaythey are nice. AI behavior is good but could need some fixes here and there.
I wonder why you made some droids 1 sided?
I suggest to use different textures for some objects like stairs or walls.
The only one thing i realy didn´t like is that the map has nothing to do with StarWars. What was the reason to make a WII era european style village?
It would fit great to one of the many exsisting WWII shooters out there but not to StarWars.

lol, but the you're right Rends, but its WORKING!!! I just think we ALL need something new, in our Star Wars games - ad THIS is what we ALL hubger for, hehe - great job guys. Make more of theese half-related SWBF mods :wink:

yeah its a great map, be nice to see alittle more 'used look' on the tetures, but apart from that a great map that is fun to play online :) me and a couple mates played it for an hour or so yesterday

Re: the "look" of the map... it is the first part of out WW2 total conversion for Battlefront ;)

There are thousands of systems in the Republic / Empire, we see less than 10 in the movies (and a handfull more will be seen in ROTS) so as far as I'm concerned our version of the Star Wars universe is as valid as anything by Tim Zahn, Dark Horse, Del Ray etc etc. Rhen Var ? Clones running amok in Jabba's Palace ?? Dark Troopers ???

Fear not, our next map, while still in the GT1-EUniverse, will have a VERY strong, authentic STAR WARS feel to it :D

"AI behavior is.." - I am planing to do some fine tuning...

"Textures" - oh well, there are so many combination of textures I would not know where to stop.

Man this was one nice map. As soon as I saw it posted I downloaded it and some TF guys and I all jumped in and played it for about 2 hours. This is defintaly voted as one of the top so far and its not even finished yet!! The excitment brings tears to my eyes!!! :cry: <--Happy Tears
