Did you save your skin with RLE Compression on or off?

there could be a few problems that cause this

1. you used rle compression when saving the texture
2. the texture tga file is corrupt
3. the msh model is corrupted
4. the msh model is exported incorrectly

Probably it´s got to do with the RLE Compression.

Sorry, but what makes you guys think its a texture problem? I thought those errors came from model errors....

this error happens when you try to open a model which swbfviewer cant find. make sure you set the right path to the assets. if you werent trying to view a model from the assets through the folders in swbfviewer it must have been a somehow damaged msh.file

I'm pretty sure he's talking about his own custom .msh files...

How exactly did you do this? Please describe it in detail. We can't make read your mind, and we shouldn't be asking you the questions.

I got this message when i already did the editing in GIMP2. I open up the veiwer, i have RL compresstion OFF, and i drag it into the blue screen and that error pop's up...
It wont take a screenshot so i cant really put up my work...

you know that the swbfviewer is for viewing models, right?
you cant view a texture in a modelviewer, you have to open the model which uses the texture.

you cannot make a texture become a model. the viewer is for opening .msh files in which models are stored. textures are .tga files. a model is the shape of something, a texture is the color of a model. thats two absolutely different things.

SwbfViewer views models and skins together this is how models work...
tga -> msh -> Ingame Model
to view it using the viewer open a ".MSH" and it will work! one time i forgot to uncheck RLE compression and it still viewed but rainbowey so thats not the problem

can you open .msh files from the assets? if you can its obviously not a problem with the program.
