Those features are just enabled in the GUI, I couldn't get them actually working other than ticking the boxes and getting a mission lua name to display in the Mission dropdown.

Super VisualMunge?
I re-enabled parts of VisualMunge with ResHack for kicks and this was the result:

Those features are just enabled in the GUI, I couldn't get them actually working other than ticking the boxes and getting a mission lua name to display in the Mission dropdown.

What I would love to see with this is added mode support with that, mainly hunt mode would be nice to see. Nice to see you got this working.

Re: Super VisualMunge?
looks good, but what can i do with this? I mean No Sound. Sometimes my BFII has some error and there is no sound. that's not really nice to have.
Awesome would be a Visual Munge, where you needn't to copie your files from the lvl_pc folder in your addon filder (shell for example), where you needn't to do a manual clean, so the Munge.exe will delet all the files, and where you needn't to change your munge.bat files to enable the sound munge, or something else, and where you can do a HUD simplier.

Re: Super VisualMunge?
I usually don't need to copy files from lvl_pc when I'm just normal munging. And manual cleans aren't that big a deal.
Cool find, Ace. It looks like it used to be possible to debug BF2 straight from VM. We don't really need that since we have the debugger utility, though. Unless VM could have done something the debugger can't. What do you suppose the Profile and Dump Memory tickboxes might have done?

Those are just command line switches which may or may not still work, i've never used them.Fiodis wrote:What do you suppose the Profile and Dump Memory tickboxes might have done?
When you tick them they fill in the Command Line of the GUI with this:
/dumpmemory /profile
You could try adding them to the Target line of a SWBF2 shortcut to test them.

Re: Super VisualMunge?
Woah!
Still, I wonder what I would do with all that extra stuff... Wait, it's not really VisualMunge anymore because you can't see what it's munging!
Anyways, I still think that's awesome that you could do that!

Re: Super VisualMunge?
Yeah, making "connections" of the exe to the ressources located in the BF2_ModTools folder would need decompiling and recompilling new ressources into a PE. I often dreamed about modifying softs like that but ResHacker is just a Res editing tool.
Maybe you should open the program with OllyDBG to see what it does when you click "munge"...
