Modifying space turret properties for era mod?

ok i've noticed that instead of the auto turrets and heavy turrets and frigates for space maps having their odfs in the sides or turret folders they are in the world folder for the maps. how exactly would i go about changing these things for an era mod. i want to set up the frigates and turrets with different health and weapons but yet i don't know if changing them would have any effect and where to put the dc: at for a side. i don't really know where to start, i have the odfs but yet i don't know where to put them for my mod. i can't get the stock space maps because they aren't included in the modtools so i can't use zero editor and set each one up as a world.

can i even change these???

i think you can override the files if you load them from the side. im not totally sure if it works with all files, but i did it with textures and it worked.

Teancum just shared the stock space source files in the assets section.

thats wonderful.

well i would tell you guys how the turrets worked but i'm having the fatal mission.lvl not loading error and for somereason my vehicles that i put on geonosis aren't loading like i told them to...

well looks like i have some work to do.

EDIT: oh look, i got the fatal fixed but i have a bad arguement in my lua for space when i tried to do addunitclass to add units classes and also when i replaced pilot and marine with regular classes. i've also noticed that my tank dispenser weapon only seems to work on certain maps, my theory is that they only work on maps that already have hover vehicles on them (my vehicle is a swamp speeder) should i add the memory pool for entity hover to fix this or is it something else?
