Training/gaming Tips

ok so i came back from my weekend with my cousin to find that most topics that i made before the weekend had been locked  due to the fact that they are pointless. So i have decided to make a topic that may help at least some people.

Ok now that the intro is over time to start typing with my internally bleeding finger...

Training Tips:
#1 Jet Wars- my best training tip would to go into a battle with jet packs on (all vs you to train hard) and try to hit the enemies. (this training needs Zerted's unoffical 1.3v patch)
this training type helps with aiming.
#2 All Vs You- this will help with going against hard enemies like when behind enemy lines and your team dies, you make a server with everyone vs you and battle it out and try to win.
#3 All Vs Ai/Bots- you make a server or go on single player (for the ones who choose to do this alone) and have bots on one team only and try to beat them all. (this training needs v1.3 as mentioned above, this training also helps with clan training and team work)
#4 Big Battle/FFA-this trains you in not having a team or battling a bunch of human players.
#5 Disadvantage training- use only a pistol or weak weapon to beat people then if you get good with that then you can beat people with stronger weapons.
#6 Planning- Always have a plan set up for any attack it will help you know what to do
#7 MUSIC :music: -Not for everyone but i find that listening to music while playing focuses me more on the game other than the adverage orcastral music playing.

Now anyone else have any tips if so please do post them.

1. Play the game.
Really, anything else is just a subset of that. Learning to mod might help, but at least for me most of my time spent playing the game is spent testing mods, so I've actually gotten drastically worse because of modding.
And you know what, modding > playing anyway. Same way GT > BF2 MP.

Also,
Dakota wrote:#5 Disadvantage training- use only a pistol or weak weapon to beat people then if you get good with that then you can beat people with stronger weapons.

#5 I can't really see as helpful, because the pistol and the, say, shotgun are two entirely different weapons with completely different strategies (not to mention the sniper's rifle). Killing people with pistols won't make you a better sniper.
#6 seems rather vague for a tip, imho - and anyway most people get along just fine with no strategy much more complicated than don't-get-shot.

Ah, this brings me back to the day when I made a clan starting tutorial on a hardcore gaming website. I got owned.

Nice tips. Keep 'em coming!

#5 i used the blaster rifle alot so i guessed that the pistol was a weaker version so i guess #5 only works for weapons like that also i was just giving an example the idea is to just use weaker stuff than the enemy or have the enemies have better stuff like a trooper vs a tank or something (ahh fun)

#6 hmm i just keep a plan guess i'm alone then

wow, i'll need around 50 pages to discribe it all so let me keep it simple. the plan is to use units that counter other units like snipe an engineer or sneek up/fly up to a sniper or engineer vs misstle troopers and rocketeers vs tanks. and so on...

but i also have plan for what i'm up against my plan is adaptable and even changing

wow, and you said you would not be making any more pointless topics.Yet, you do not disapoint :P

FYI to everyone, the rifleman is the best class, no arguement, i always get like 50-60 kills as a rifleman.

Regardless of whether or not that was a joke, that was kind of uncalled for. If this helps one person its not pointless.

FYI snipers are the best. I always get like 60+ kills as a sniper.

But in all seriousness, you can't say one class is better than the other. It's different for every person.

Well, simplifying it down to "Have a plan" doesn't really help ANYONE. If you're going to get into planning and strategy (which, trust me, you're DEFINATELY not the only one who does this), at least get into a little more detail into what the player should expect.

Chillax, I like Dakota, and his topics, I was the one defending his worst invention topic, besides, I made a couple topics that got locked because they were called "useless".

@ TheWulfMan i never took what you said as an insault really, i like sarcasm in a person

also the sniper and trooper are both the best. well it depends on the situation. if you have open area with a lot of cover or sniper postions then sniper works best but if you don't have many good spots to snipe then the troopers ROCK$ (ooh money)

And that, good sir, is why snipers are better than riflemen. Us "new short rangers" can do your rifleman's job, as well as hit the enemy from a distance.

Engineer is my favorite class. IMO the ability to heal one's self is priceless. Plus the flechette shotgun is awesome.

Erm, tips? Well.... generally I like to hang aruond health/ammo droids until I get the award weapon, then go kill people. That works for me :P
