Units controlling units

Can anyone think of a way to make a unit controllable via another unit? The idea here is to have a unit dispense a unit and control it like it would control a remote droid.

Couldn't you just reskin a remote droid?

No, because:

1) A reskin still just makes it a remote droid

2) If you meant changing the model, then no, because it would still just float around, animation-less, like a remote droid

3) A remote droid is a vehicle, and not a unit.

Could you give an example of what you mean then?

I don't see what's so hard to understand about that.
Basically, he wants a unit to be able to "dispense" another unit, and be able to control it like a separate unit, while the "dispensing" unit stays still.

i.e. A stormtrooper dispensing a darktrooper.

Ah, are you talking in terms of aeons?

In that case, couldn't you just make just make one a vehicle; does it have to be animated?

Yes, it has to be animated. The model I'm using is an animated character model and needs to move like an infantry unit.

Ok, well, then there are still animated vehicles, why can't it just be that?

Stormtrooper dispenses a Darktrooper.

"It's a boy!" XD

But in any case, I might need this for future maps, so I kinda wanna know how I can do this too. Better to use this thread then asking it in the future when it's already explained on how to do it. :P

Does the controllable act just as it would if it were a playable charater?

He basically is trying to mean can u control a unit like a puppet, while the body is moving at the same time.
