I know we already have a thread posting your own desktops & graphic arts but this is different. If you have any cool pics you want to show us that you got off you the internet, then here's the spot.

i like the one with the star destroyer over the field, its the picture named "bliss" from the desktops that come with microsoft xp (if anyone but me and a few diehards knows about it...). i never really thought of adding a star destroyer to it, maybe i'll add one to the picture known as "Vortex Space" that also came with xp.

Pretty much anyone who has ever used Windows XP (which is quite a lot of people) will know that. If I remember correctly, "Bliss" is the default desktop, so it's the first thing anyone sees when they log in to an XP account for the first time.

So I guess this is kind of like a "Screenshots from other games"/"other cool stuff that isn't quite graphic art" thread? In that case, I might as well post these: I got on a brief RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 kick over the summer and created those rides.

I used to play that all the time. I never had the patience to create big parks though. I'd go all detailed on one ride, and then I couldn't figure out to do with the rest of the space. Those are neat pics though, I could never get the custom supports down.

This isn't an official warning Marth, but could you please just knock off the constant Apple bashing? It has derailed the thread it's posted in each time you do it and that doesn't really help the forum. Thanks.

I am sorry for my behavior, and I will try to restrain myself. I meant to say I was laughing alongside kinetosimpetus about how the image was tiny in his screenshot.

And by taking 15 seconds to save the image, resize it in Paint, and reupload it to photobucket, I just took a 4500x6000 picture (3.51 MB) and turned it into a forum-friendly 450x600 (112 KB)


In all honesty, typing this post took more time, and now everyone can see what the pic is in it's entirety.

I could have done that fast myself, but I did not for I wanted to show everyone the detail. Re-sizing it would have defeated it's purpose. Just making it clear what my reasoning was, I know you're just trying to help.

What purpose? Are you saying that because the picture was MASSIVE, it was awesome? Because honestly, I couldn't tell what it was, defeating the purpose of you trying to show a cool picture. It was WAY too big, so i couldn't tell if it was cool or not. If you want to show detail, post a preview pic, then give everyone a link to the original, explaining that the level of detail is much much bigger.
