Why is STALKER Clear Sky more demanding than Farcry 2?

I 'used' to have Farcry 2 until my computer effed up. Anyway, Why is Clear Sky more demanding than Farcry 2? I mean Clear Sky looks pretty unrealistic and even on low settings the game is mega laggy. I play Farcry 2 on medium setting with no lag about 25 fps.

Farcry 2 is one of the most realistic games around with the graphics. I also have HD dynamic range with Farcry 2.

Can someone explain ?

i think it all depends on how the engine is build, looks at swbf2 for example, it starts to lag when you have like more than 30 objects with shadowvolume, this may depend a bit on the hardware but after some point that doesnt matter anymore and its purely the games fault

(i couldn't find a good video for stalker but still, ive played it and it looks incredibly fake, however, they say its based on the concept not real life but still its so annoying.)

go ahead, make an swbf2-level with 1000 shadows, it will lag unplayabely on your pc and look still fake while farcry 2 will look better and wont lag...
i just took this as an (maybe not so good) example that not all engines can handle every hardware, no matter if its old or high-end. or maybe stalker doesnt like your graphicscard

QFT. My 3ds Max was super super laggy, like I couldn't even rotate the camera without it lagging terribly. Turns out it was set to a DirectX driver. I changed it to OpenGL, and it now renders instantly. It's all about using the graphics card effectively.

Ohk, well I over clocked the pixel shaders and downloaded an addon, so now I have no problem thanks .
