How do I make a map smaller? I want to make a close combat forest/city map without the unused terrain showing. Any way to minimize the size of the map?

There are map size parameters in ZE, but before you do anything, consider if you really want what you say you want. If you kill the terrain surrounding your map area, all you'll be able to see at the edges is a skydome. In most cases, unless you really know what you're doing, you'd rather see flat terrain extending off into the distance (so that there is a visible horizon) instead of no terrain at all.

you could just place hell bushes and barriers encircling your map so that it gives the feel of a smaller map instead of wasting time for a result that would look awful. Another thing you could try is to make mountains or a valley for your forest to be placed in.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll probably surround it with mountains and such. Its much harder making a map than I expected, and on a much bigger scale on zeroeditor. I hope this will be a good map...(Unlike my other fails )

Just remember to release your map when it feels like it is a lot of fun OR you don't know how else you could improve it (we at gametoast can find something to nit-pick at for you)

I hope you get better, Mr. Crayon. Anyway, I'm almost at the time of release of my FIRST map. I haven't even played it yet.

I certainly hope you aren't trying to fill the map...that is way way way to big. I tried to fill it the first time too, then I went in game and realized how small the soldiers really are.

No, I'm not trying to fill the map... I'll just put them around the battlefield so peeps cant get out. And recently I discovered how hard it is to make a forest...or any type of map.
