(WIP) Tatooine: Desert Stronghold

Tatooine: Desert Stronghold


Yay...took forever to get it about halfway done...

This is one-way ctf. You are forced to the smaller republic team. You can't score and the other team is much larger. How long will you last? This is kinda designed for multiplayer where you and your friends can hold out for however long. The map is set up so that faster, weaker units will arrive first, and continue doing so. Then, stronger units begin to arrive. If you can hold out against normal units and faster ones, then good job. But the point is you are going to lose. So units with ridiculous amounts of health come.

Republic Desert Opps (the team you are forced to play as)
All have 500 health and are sniper speed.

Yellow Dot = Flag

White Dot = Score Zone

? = Areas where I'm not sure what to do with…

hmmm the skins are really cool :D

and for what to do with the regions ... well you could actualy have 3 regions of different theme if you want or you can have like different parts of a city ex: industrial,luxurious ect ...

anyways, i'm very curious of how this will come along !

The idea is to keep the republic to be like the shipped sides, but with the perks in CoD...

Oh, at the "?"s you could for one make a town and for the other make a mine of some sort.

Add a spaceport or landing pad at the third. I'll keep my eye on this.

Wheee hooray that sounds fun.

Oh no wait it sounds like the opposite of fun. Make it difficult to win, fine, that can be fun. But no chance of winning? That is futility and while I understand some might enjoy that, I think I can speak for the majority of people and say that it doesn't sound very fun.

Maybe like some holdout bunkers in those ? places with like destroyable turrets and walls like what was gonna be on mos gamos in BF0

I don't think you should compromise the way you want this to be set up (defending against CTF) if that's what you want. I just think you should make it possible to win. There are a number of ways it could be possible to win - kill enough enemies, last long enough, etc.

Personaly, I like the idea of a "grinder" type map where you see how long you can hold out against impossible odds. However, I have an idea for slowly building up the difficulty. You could have 4 teams, and start the match with one enemy spawn point, then after a little while add another spawn point for a different team, then another, then another, and after a little while of that, if you still have reinforcements, you can win.

I'm also one for hard but winable.(<Spelling? Word even?) I've never beaten Hoth wave mode(DT), and only beat Kamino because I was playing with GangsterJawa. I think you should make it winable, it removes the incentive for playing in the first place.(I could tie this into a Capitolism vs. Communisim I won't... DOH!)
And as for those areas, I think a small outpost for the first one(not a town, an outpost). The second, maybe a jundland waste style canyon with dark crevasses and mutiple routes through. For the last one a mine like someone else already suggested, with mine carts and left over dynamite. Ka-Boom! :) Looks fun though, can't wait.

No, but in all seriousness, give me a republic scoring zone, a sniper rifle,and about 20 reinforcement points. Then we'll see who's "gonna lose".
