Very expensive for alot of people.Windows XP is very stable so if it ain't broken don't fix it!!
I think the best thing to do will be to wait until VISTA is well established and your motherboard is vista capable.I'm sure it will have some big issues and also it will become as stable/better than XP.
Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade
Price £149.99 Inc. Vat
For this sort of money you can get 1gb ram and a nividia 7 series graphics with enough money left over for your bus fare.Which will be a great improvement to most peoples gaming experience
I will wait and see on how good VISTA is and is it really worth that much money.Microsoft have got a good monopoly on the PC market with massive profits so why do the charge this much( having a rant)

* 1 GB of system memory
* 40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space

o WDDM Driver
o 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)
o Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware

For the extra expense the ultimate version doesn't offer a great deal extra over the Home Premium version. Ok some extra bits and bobs mostly concerned with backing up and protection of data as well as some connectivity and networking benefits, but certainly not enough to warrant any great extra expenditure.
If you've a decent spec machine then I'd say Vista is a must.
Shame the home premium comes in that bloody green box though, the black or even the blue is much cooler.
*had forgotten how addictive Mahjong is*

Just so you guys know, if you do not want to go so far as to buy a Windows Vista, you can live the WoW experience by downloading the Vista Transformation Pack. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS- ... Pack.shtml

Offtopic a bit, but yeah a friend of mine was pro quality skater quit skating for wow, stayed inside for about a year and skipped school for the game. He's now a tad chubby, albino white, and in his second year of 9th grade. I dont really like those style games, and I dont see myself getting addicted, but ive got no interest in trying them out.
As for Vista, from the reviews ive read its not gameing oriented. Its a memory hog with all of its aesthetic processes, so I would hold off till they either release a service pack or some of the newer hardware comes out (im still waiting to get my hands on some DX10 stuff, shame its not for XP - microsoft will make you buy their product huh?)
