in-game
as you can tell its fairly low poly, but appears detailed, you don't need a high poly count, just have it textured good.

I know, it was meant question-like

How do you make/create such a great texture?

Photosourced, he probably took some screenshots from T3 and used those.

Lol. I suppose yours is better for an actual playable unit, along with the fact that you've textured it
Say, where did you get that texture anyway?
I'm planning to make mine a local, with the tool from it's torso being a fusion cutter. It'll go around repairing stuff, like the Jawas on Mos Eisley do.

Wow... How would you do that? Attach a fusioncutter to bone_ribcage in the fusioncutter odf? How are you going to make it a unit btw? New anims?

Droids don't have bones, but I've got it figured out.

All you do is make the unit's hp_fire be wherever it's going to hold weapons. In this case, it would be in the torso. You could also make an addon that attached there and give it a fusioncutter with no mesh.
And making animationless units is easy. Assuming he didn't want to give T3 the kind've swaying motion you see when he moves in KotOR, you just give it normal animations. With no skeleton it'll not be animated but it'll still work. (I did this in my RPG map with a couple of monsters, numerous people have done it with R2 units.)

Okay, so no animations means the unit doesn't move while you let him move (he keeps the same posture) How would you say that an unit doesn't use animations? I thought no animations=human animations automatic

OK, I Now have more screenshots of my gun

.
here's the side view of my modified gun.
Here's multiple angle shots of my gun.
And here's a texture I whipped up from various shipped SWBFII textures.
So where do I need to reduce polygons on

??

Nice texture!
I'm most impressed with the fact that this is your first model and texture.
The stock (shoulder mount, whatever you want to call it) is too high-polied, it doesn't need to be that detailed.
People will hardly notice it anyway. Just make it remotely round and you'll be okay.

Ok, Thank's

. I'll reduce polys on the stock as soon as possible

. Is there any other areas on the gun where I need to get rid of polys on?

Thank's

. I was able to reduce 300 more polys on my gun

but I don't think I can reduce anymore

. I also edited the texture so it fits better

. Any other suggestions on the gun?
