I was just curious to know what caused signatures to not be allowed. I see a lot of old posts that have signatures and a lot of new posts that are edited/warned for signatures.

Signatures that include names are pointless because I'm sure we can all adjust our vision slightly to the left to see the profile name.

Yep. Sigs serve as nothing but an annoyance, so we banned them long, long ago (like six years or so).
