WaW only sold more units than CoD4 because Modern Warfare paved the path for more successful CoD series games. (Without MW, WaW would not have sold, but rather be seen as "another one of those World War games.")
I'm not sure I agree with that. I definitely see what you're saying, but I think that WaW could have easily made it as a great game without MW. In fact, it probably would have gotten all the awards + $$$

Anyways, I don't really like World at War.. I'm more of a modern weapons guy. I love my AK :P

Some more gameplay footage, this time showing a quick snippet of a Flag Runner gametype round.

And since I'm bored, here's a list of weapons I saw:

RPD
SCAR-H
A ballistics shield
MP5K
AUG
AA-12 Automatic Shotgun
UMP45
TAR-21
USP .45
Throwing knife (watch till the end)

Remember, these are all customizable in a similar way to Call of Duty 4

Wow, very nice CTF mode! I saw they included the M82 as well.

I wonder what "Host Migration" meant... :|

Instead of dropping a game when the host loses connection, they find a new host in the same game so the game would keep going.

Has this been around for a while?

At the end of the vid, where he throws the knife, I don't really understand why it was necessary to include the whole host migration bit.

To show it as a new feature in the game?

Ah, so it was a show-off-two-things-at-once kind of deal?

I'm not really an avid COD player, so I wasn't aware that this was a new feature.

Good thing I'm on PC so I don't have to worry about host migration.

It looks absolutely delicious. Do you think the system requirements will be any higher than CoD4?

Also, shield, woo! :o

Most likely they'll be higher, but I don't think that much if you have an nVidia 7000 series or higher. You may have to buy a new card if it's lower than 7000. Sorry, I don't know much about ATI, so I can't offer advise.

Well, pretty sure I'll be fine system-wise, I was just wondering 'cuz a lot of people I've talked to have wondered that.

CoD4MW's graphics were pretty Diet Dr. Pepper good I don't know how much higher than can go on current technology besides making images sharper with new techniques.

Probably the most complained thing about the first Modern Warefare title was that when the host quit, that was it, game over. They're showing that thats not an issue any more. Host migration=No more random: Host has left screens.

Absolutely tons of new stuff. I won't go and list all the new stuff now, cause there's way too much.

I'm actually in the process of buying a second hand laptop computer from ebay for this game, and for future titles like Battlefield Bad Company 2. I was thinking a mid range Nvidia 8600M series card will be good enough, as I can't really afford the higher end gaming notebooks with the 9800M series and above . The only problem is you have to upgrade every couple of years as new releases get released.

It'd be cheaper to just buy a 9800GT for $90 and save some cash.
