he spared the other so he could tell his friends what he saw :vader: .
Don't criticize him guys. He wrote a really interesting short story. I think he is allowed to make a small error in life unless I am right with my first comment...

And btw, I'm #1 in Australia for SWBF2!!!!
So, what you're telling us is not to be upset when you illegally have the game, then you use a CD key generator to make a CD that then makes it so someone who owns the game legit can't play? AND you knew the rules?? Sorry, don't let the door hit you on the way out:
The site rules wrote:Insta-bans
Below are some of the things that will instantly get you banned without an explaination or warning:
- No warez of any kind
Go out and buy the game. And if you're dead set on not getting the game for whatever reason, don't be dumb enough to tell us. We realize that piracy has become rather mainstream, but it ain't allowed here.

Hey Tean, SW_Elite's an XFire buddy of mine, and when I told him he got instabanned he claimed he was wrongly punished. He asked if I could speak for him.
SW_Elite wanted to say this:
1 - He simply forgot the rule existed.
2 - He has a CD copy of the game, legally purchased.
3 - The legal CD's installation never worked properly.
4 - His brother torrented the game in order to play with a friend of his (He did not ask him to do so in the first place)
5 - His brother used the product code of the CD manual in order to get his game to work.
6 - His brother also had the torrent in an external hard drive, in order to give Battlefront II to his friend so they could play together online.
7 - SW_Elite was doing ICT work for school (he brought his work home), when he stumbled upon SWBF2 inside his external hard drive.
8 - Out of curiosity he ran the .exe, and to his surprise it was working, without the CD or even an install.
9 - When he started to play online, the game asked him for a CD key. But, he couldn't use his because his brother had already used it. Thus, the keygen.
So technically, he legally owns a purchased copy of Star Wars Battlefront II.
(He also PROMISES he will never break that rule again. He knows now what he did, and he says he will see to it that it never happens again.)

He's changing his story, then:
SW_elite wrote:Anyways, my dad bought swbf2 from a garage sale after many long sentence filled with pleases and other sucky up things, for the ps2... not knowing how much better the graphics and gameplay were on PC, but hey, I was a kid back then and kids dont care about that stuff. Anyways, I eventually found out what (Please dont chew my head off and spit it out again because of what I say.) torrents were through my older bruz... (TORRENTS ARE FROM THE DARK SIDE!) And yes.... He downloaded swbf2 from one of the millions of torrent sites out on the webs these days.... And thats how I aquired swbf2 for the PC. Then I simply had to download a CD Key genorator and keep trying keys till I found one that worked properly with the game... And I've been playing online ever since
Sorry - the ban sticks. Even if the new story is the truth how do we know which one to believe at this point? Rule of thumb, kiddies - if you're foolish enough to run a pirated copy, don't make it public information.

This is not the place to argue policy. All off-topic posts have (again) been deleted. If there is an issue, take it up in PMs. Further off-topic talk will incur warnings.

*sigh*. Well, my last off topic post. Will he be unbanned anytime soon, or is it permanent?
*EDIT* Plus, Teancum didn't really reply to my first PM...
This post is a great example of what not to do when a staff member asks you to stay on topic. Warning issued. -Staff

I've already stated what the staff's stand is. Fact is the first story told and the second one told are completely different (in addition, I was told a third story that didn't match the other two via PM). The ban will not be lifted, because now we don't know what to believe, and having two different stories makes it even more suspicious. Piracy bans are permanent for the safety of the site.
End of conversation.
