I caved. I bought Minecraft (with monetary assistance from my brother). However: I have been having an error every few minutes. Usually somewhere around one day/night cycle, I get a crash and an error reports "Java Platform SE Binary is not responding." The game crashes, and though I'm able to boot up again, usually loading less than 10 feet from where I was standing when the crash occurred, it's REALLY annoying. I just resintalled Java and I haven't tried it out again yet so if that did fix it I'll just edit the post, but if anyone knows how to fix this problem that'd be a great help.

Yes, I did try Google (still am) but I haven't found anything decent yet.
EDIT: Testing out a method someone suggested to see if I had the wrong systemtype of java installed. Will update once I have evidence one way or another.
EDIT2: seemed to fix it. You may now discuss how surprised you are that I bought Minecraft.

No but really I've been trying to get onto the GTia server, but apparently I'm still not whitelisted. Or it's offline. idk.

Yeah, it's been telling me. I also think that the server has been offline, because unless I'm reading wrong it says there are 0 of 20 people on the server. I coulda worded that a bit clearer I guess.

Until Xav works out the lag problems, Grev's server is a really nice place, and I recommend you check it out.

The war server? I checked it out but there was no one on. Besides, I really want a nice SMP server.
