New Attack on the Deathstar

I don't know what you can remember on my old Deathstar map , but now i am back and I want a new and realistic Death Star space map bring you closer.
The Deathstar space map will be bigger and better than my first.
The map has currently many bugs which I will try to kill, I can not promise, but I will do my best to give it to release.
Here you have a few facts about the improvements.

-the Deathstar map will be bigger then my last one.
-better and real Deathstar skin + new surface
-longer Deathstar-channel
-at the end of the channel is a real input
-How in the old version two hangars
-at the first time of the modding history you can go inside the Deathstar
-i plan a new and better Darth vader tie
-real Yavin 4
- + the movie music

seems kinda like a rip off of 11of3's map... right down to the mapping ideas, with yavin and the deathstar... sorry to flame.

First off, the sky on Yavin 4 wasn't really that dark in the movie, was it? And secondly, how much of an interior do you plan to create in the Death Star? Lastly, those hallways need some more details, a couple crates here and there would be nice. It's looking great so far, the surface of the Death Star itself is much more detailed than before.

Looks good. This was a problem with the last map too: you need to make the textures of the Dstar surface more detailed and diverse. I see the surface model wasn't terribly diverse itself. It makes a very boring landscape so its best to change that.

This is a cheap trick but try manipulating the models and textures on the horizon so it looks like it goes on forever and there isn't just some dropoff.

Where are the interiors supposed to go anyway?

I just watched the movie and the deathstar was CRAWLING with turrets, the ships didnt come from yavin, they came from a seperate fleet close to the death star, and the interior was WAY darker and more crowded...

While they did come from a 'Fleet' they still of course launched from Yavin IV. The Death Star 'WAS' in Yavin IV's orbit after all.

it looks pretty nice. Better than your last attempt. Hey, if you're still going to put the Millenium Falcon in the map, you may want to give it better weapons than you did last time.

oh, and I thought you quit Battlefront mapping after your last death star project. Well, anyway, glad you're back.

Looks very cool redline! But maybe you could place some crates and barrels in the deathstar corridors ,make the star fighter lasers stronger and use high unitcounts...

You could just have pilots too! Also, the surface needs to be WAY more detailed.

More details on the surface can crash the map!
That,s typical for sw bf 2.

Well, if you just have pilots, (in the movie it didn't really look like there were many "StormTroopers" flying Ties) then in the...oh wait, nvm.
*scratches out above sentence*
PUT Stormies in, but make them unable to fly Ties (dunno side editing, but you could look at the Droidekas .odf and copy something [Droidekas can't enter vehicles, btw] )

And I KNOW that making the surface more detailed will crash the game, but it just looks SO flat.......

First off, I think the surface looks as detailed as it can be without crashing the map. It looks like the actual hull plating of the Death Star in my opinion (without the too extensive details.)

Secondly about the Stormtroopers: That would be cool, but I think a lot of people would still want to fly anyways no matter what class they are. :| But I still think it's a neat idea. Not impossible for Stormies to fly TIEs. TIE fighter pilots still have a distinct advantage over regular troops in terms of flying, as we all know, just incase Redline doesn't make it where Stormtroopers can't fly ships.
