Two things to that post.

1- It's done as far as the layout is concerned. Mostly he has side and environment tweaks left. It's over 50%.

2-True, he posted it when it was less than 50%. But he's Rends. He's an exception. He is a well known modder/mapper that produces quality work and is known to complete the work that he starts. The staff can trust that when he posts something, it isn't going to be a nooby attempt on moving the terrain and will call it a map. He's a freaking GT Veteran and Legend. ;)

SymbolS wrote:very nicely skinned, when do you think this map will come out, this topic has been up forever, and ur only supposed to post if 50%, so this map must be really big work!
Well i´m modding this game since the early days of SWBf1 and what i announced was and will be released. The 50 percent done limit is noob control if i remember right.
You are correct. this is a big work i started 4 month ago but i don´t expect another 4 month. what i hope is to release a beta soon but there is still something todo until the release.

EDIT:

this is from my personal todo list:

Mos Eisley Spaceport todo list
OBJECTS:

Spaceport: small props needed (seats, monitors ect...)
spaceport parking spaceships needed
UbrikkianTradeTower need interior
Warehouse needs somthing like a crane and hovering containers, red metal texture is too red
Garages needs interior
Impbase needs a texture and interior
Imbuildings needs a texture and interior
Voidspider needs a final texture
cantina needs droid detector
droids needs a final texture
speeders needs final textures and collision models
Ubrikkian9000 needs uvmapping and texture
Locals need weapon (fusioncutter) replacements
Mountains dome model needed
adding more and different air traffic
Some textures needs bumpmaps

GAMEPLAY:
Need a BattlefrontTest.exe error report from every gamemode
GCW Conquest: mostly done. Need to move the spawnpoint near the Transport into the Warehouse
CW Conquest: No side tweaks yet and no locals
1Flag: Need sides work, everything else done
2flags: not touched yet
Boundaries: Not added
Hintnodes: not done except one
3rd side: could need another human and alliens (prefer Rodeans if we would have one)

Imps need a MarkIV sentry droid
Imp and Rebel sides needs to be done (Majin is working on it)
No loading screenshots and loading text yet
Looking for the possibility to add ambush teams and more gamemodes

So you see there is still lot of work left.

Very true galacticmarine, but if i'm correct, one more post after this one will make 32 pages.

Wallah! 32 pages.

Anyway, you have quite alot to do. It is already looking great, plus with all the To-do stuff, it'll be even greater.

that speeder is hot, will it be flyable?

It helps if you read the entire post. :(
It´s just a prop. there won´t be any flyable vehicles on the map.

Well, that's a matter of "What's flyable ?" Flyable could be mean that the sandspeeder flies just like it's snowspeeder counterpart, or that it moves just like a speeder. BF II ties many repulsorcraft to the ground, although they could reach great heights, for example the 74-Z (which can fly up to 25 metres) or the BARC speeder (which is told to be able to escort LAATs (see here for proof)), so why don't we get a reversed reaction ?

@ Galactic Marine: Hey, there's no longer thread than the 92-page long W.I.P. one for Battle above Endor. When this thread reaches 80 pages, wé can talk about that again, but now...

There are 3 different driveable Landspeeders on the map.
That´s what you and AI can use.
Everything else will be a static Object.

True, I didn't think that it might be a speeder. Wanna know why? Notice the wording here.

:)

Rends, I am again busy, but this weekend I will try to finish the sides and send them to you (I just need to localize everything and add the speeder information). That above post is very helpful.

:)

By the way, can you send me the .odf file for the speeders too, in case you have special nodes and whatnot that I may need to know.

Oh hey Rends, I have a rodian 100% prepped to be enveloped. It uses the Luke model with a new head and hands so it should be very easy to envelope.

wow... that'd be awesome.. to have a Rodian!
