A man by the name of Humberto Milanez is currently producing his own
unofficial Battlefront 3 on Unreal Engine 4 based on Free Radical's Battlefront 3 alpha footage. The project seems to have been in motion for four years and is still underway as the most recent update was four days ago.

So we have two unofficial Battlefront 3 games being made on UE4. Interesting.

Good god, the team consists of one person?

Not really sure why he'd want to base it off Free Radical's footage though. :V

Because it offers what BattlEAfront doesn't.

Well it is giving us 8 vs 8, which is half of SWBF2 (16vs16) and less than half of BattlEAfront (20vs20).
So what confirmed things (not speculation/presumptions) is it offering us that BattlEAfront doesn't?

Classes?

DICE's Battlefront offers classes, just in its own way. You create your class.
Semi-off-topic: All people seem to want out of the new Battlefront is Battlefront II: 8K-Ultra-Remastered-Edition-But-Also-Space-To-Ground. It's really kind of ridiculous, especially considering how Battlefront II isn't *that* good of a game (at its core) to begin with - and space-to-ground is an extremely sketchy concept for an online multiplayer game, yet people have been demanding it for a decade. *sigh*

But it can be still made in Battlefront II

I like it how other people see battlefront. Everybody played a other game
@thelegend I like the concept of the space-to-ground to, it was possible in the footage from radicals battlefront and also in SwbfII

The only problem I see is that to many players are on the ground or in space, but bots could solve it.

The largest issue with bots is the extra processing power required to include them, which *also* greatly adds to the amount of packets the game servers have to communicate with the players.

Interesting decision to base the game off FR's SWBF3 footage, seems like quite the work for one person.

Space to ground would most likely have been a single player feature only, just like how it was in elite squadron (a game that was essentially a psp version of Free Radical's Battlefront.) When it came to multiplayer you either played space or ground, they were not connected. That said though, if this game is going to be multiplayer based there could (will) be some major issues.
Anyways, I hope this guy gets far with his project, as large of a scale it is. It'll be his third Battlefront of sorts.

That's it. We're not friends any more.
Seriously though, I guess my quest to hate DICE's Battlefront stems from the fact that I don't want a gritty war shooter, and even if it doesn't feel like Battle
field, I'm afraid it'll still feel that way. Pandemic's Battlefront had the magic of being accessible to anyone, whereas DICE's games really only appeal to those who like the more gritty-style shooting. Destiny and Halo are at the top of my gritty-ness scale, and that's where I'd like to see it.
Who knows though -- until we see gameplay I suppose we gotta stay objective about it. That's the toughest part for me.
