So really, he's not making TMNT, he's making TANT. Rewriting the origin story (or, in Bay's words, "expand and give a more complex back story"). Brought to you with Michael Bay's movie staples: explosions and hot chicks.

This... is going to suck. I doubt I'm going to love these "edgy" alien turtles. That doesn't even make sense, in addition to abusing the canon. Why would an alien species evolve to look exactly like large humanoid turtles?

Mutated turtles at least made sense. Radiation makes animals either die or grow huge, it's simple biology.
Kowabunga in peace little turtles.

Someone needs to let Michael Bay just get all of his needs out in one movie. Just have every frame be an explosion or a hot chick. Forget dialogue. Just four hours of explosions and babes. And then let someone else handle good franchises from our childhood.

He should make a movie about a bomb squad composed of implausibly hot chicks.

Sounds like they will feel forced, have blatantly un-witty humor, amateurish character development and won't even resemble turtles at all. That's... great. Keep it up Uwe Bo- I mean, Michael Bay.

Michael Bay makes movies that sell. I'm okay with that. Sometimes I don't care for them and sometimes I think they're fun. I never watch them with my brain turned on.

This is how I watch Transformers. Its fun the first time around, just don't think too hard on it. I imagine TMNT will be similar
